With the Bengals win over the Texans, the Dolphins now have the #3 pick in the draft. Lets assume it stays this way, should the Dolphins:

1) Draft a QB

2) Pick Penei Sewell. You can move last year's top pick (Austin Jackson) to RT. Solid bookends for Tua

3) Trade down and still have a shot to draft one of Ja'Marr Chase, Jaylen Waddle, or Devonta Smith

The Dolphins also have the Texans 2nd round pick, currently pick #35. They're in such a great spot to build this roster.

Feel like you can’t give up on Tua so early. Take Sewell and maybe try to package other picks to move up and take a WR.

Trade down, take both an elite WR and Pitts

Won’t happen in the first round unless Tua has a career ending injury.

If he’s available, this is the easy pick.

Pitts will be the guy with their own pick unless he’s taken. They could also use a workhorse back like Najee Harris.

Draft Justin Fields

IMHO they really should take him.
I hear he’s excellent

Sure you can. He’s not good and honestly he hasn’t even shown any flashes. I say that as an LSU fan that isn’t anti-Tua.

If a QB is there that you like more, you sprint the card to the podium.

And yet he has a higher QB rating than Burrow with a worse offensive supporting cast.

Drafting an RB high is pointless, Gaskin and to a lesser extent Ahmed have shown to be capable. Jaguars got better production out of an UDFA than a 4th overall pick. The only RBs worth drafting high are ones that bring a lot to the passing game, any schmuck can average 4 yards a carry.

Take the left tackle.

Then take waddle with the 2nd pick. Then take another OL with the 3rd pick.

Pitts is going to be an unstoppable hype train leading up to the draft. Drafting a TE in the early 1st round is a precarious move tho - can’t think of the last time it’s really worked out... there’s a lot more “meh” than “good” that’s for damn sure. Most of the elite TEs in the NFL have gone rounds 3-5 recently.

I get that Pitts is a super talent and the best TE prospect since Kellen “I’m a Soldier” Winslow, but the TE position is more luxury than necessity.

I like Pitts like everyone else but someone else will reach for him. The Dolphins have a really good TE already (Gesicki) so they are fine the position anyway.

If I were the Phins I would take Sewell or trade down for Waddle or Elijah Moore as a slot WR. They don’t have an established tackle on the left side, although technically RT protects Tua’s blindside. Not sure if Jackson or Robert Hunt qualifies as their franchise tackle or not.

Knowing Flores as a Belichick discipline he’ll probably want to trade back. Gonna be a lot of offers for the pick by QB hungry teams.

Trade Tua, #3 overall pick and their second round pick to Jax and draft Trevor Lawrence

My dream scenario is Sewell with the first pick, Waddle with their own in the first and LD69 with a later round pick. You've gotten tougher up front plus given Tua a dynamic play maker.

Compare every QB prospect to Tua. They don’t plan on picking 3 for a long time. Tua has no great traits

Practically non existent. At least not objective enough.
