Jim Leonard.

O doesn’t want to go back to a 3-4 and I honestly don’t think we should. That’s not even considering the fact that Leonard isn’t leaving Wisconsin. Just don’t see it happening

This defense had a shite ton of bad about it but the corners weren’t one of them

WHAT???? Our corners were abused and blew assignments all year long. We didn't finish 126th (2nd to last in the NCAA thanks to Ole Miss) giving up 323 yards per game just due to bad safeties. We finished that bad because of horrible safety play, terrible confusion and coverage by the corners and poor LB play (which improved in some games as the year went on). Mississippi State didn't break the all-time SEC passing record for a game because the corners weren't bad.

As I said before Raymond is a good coach. And the CBs have a ton of potential and made big plays as the season went on. Scheme was the major issue, but this wasn't a shining year for any coach on the D.

Entire post went right over your head man. Read it again, your response doesn’t make sense.

I never said it was a shining year but the vast majority of our struggles came from linebacker and safety play.

Our corners got beat some but they also made big time plays all year long. Can’t say the same for the safeties. The safeties got beat from the State game all the way to the Ole Miss game and rarely did anything to redeem themselves.

A good half of those deep balls y’all put on the corners occurred because the safety didn’t get over in time to help.

Some older players may still want Mike Archer as DC.

He’s the db coach. The Dbs had no idea what they were doing all year.

Not opposed, just don’t see it happening. I don’t think Ed will take a chance with his job on the line

Time to have done that was last year

O would be a fool to offer Raymond the job.

no let him manage all the dbs and their coverages, that should be more than enough for him. He is an elite recruiter and cb coach and I don't want to lose him because we put him in a position that he may not be successful.

It must’ve, I don’t care anymore to go round and round. I don’t think Raymond should, or will get the job, but if he does, I hope he does great. Geaux Tigers.

They did make big plays with interceptions and got better with that as the season went on, but they also had a lot of confusion blowing assignments all year which made it even more important for the safeties to help out. I agree with the safeties being the worst part of the defense and having very few redeeming moments, but the CB play even with the good picks was problematic.

I mean it was the worst defense in 100+ years of school history. You don’t get that without every single defensive position being problematic. My point is that the corners where the absolutely least of our problems in respect to our struggle in the passing game.

There was a reason, and a good one, that Les kept former players at arm’s length from the program.

I don’t think a program of LSU’s caliber should take the chance on someone who’s never been anything more than a positions coach as their next defensive coordinator. But, what do I know.

Been trying to tell you guys this for damn near a year now. Raymond was supposed to take over for Aranda. The players wanted and knew this and when he was passed over Orgeron split the locker room, coaches included. He even hid the fact that this was going on from Woody who didn’t discover it until after Pelini was here.

This is the first I've heard or read of this...but if true it explains a lot.
