Breiden Fehoko and Traore have both made this comment.

It’s definitely not what I want but if the limited finances story is true who knows.

I honestly think that Raymond has what it takes to be a DC but if we were going to do this it should’ve happened after the auburn game. We should’ve fired Pelini then and given Raymond an audition as interim.

This is a perfect example of why current and former players should have ZERO say in coaching hires. Of course they will want their coach to get a promotion.

Hell, if Burrow had his choice, Orgeron would have a lifetime contract.

It’ll be cheap and he can have a short contract to prove himself.

Not opposed, just don’t see it happening. I don’t think Ed will take a chance with his job on the line

I would rather hire a proven defensive coordinator, even from a small school if funds are tight.

You think O would be comfortable betting his future to an experiment? If he gets two years and it fails miserably, then O probably goes down with the ship.

No thanks. LSU can’t waste a year as a “try out”. Need experience.

Also, secondary sucked this year on technique and tackling. I don’t see it.

I agree with all of this but I also kind of agree with Fehoko and traore (Raymond wasn’t either of their coaches really btw). Raymond has earned a shot. Unfortunately it’s kind of hard to give him that shot when you just put out the worst defense in school history. He should’ve gotten that shot either before Pelini got hired or after the Auburn game when Pelini should’ve been fired.

Exactly. If he fired pellini because he cannot risk it next year. Nfw will Raymond ever see dc here. It’s preposterous. He will have to go and hire new blood.

Look,if this is what he wants he needs to go be a coordinator somewhere and work his way up. He has not been a coordinator anywhere and should not start at LSU.And before you say it, Brady was in the NFL.

This team has a possibility of being special in two years, you cannot promote a guy to DC with no experience right now.

Been trying to tell you guys this for damn near a year now. Raymond was supposed to take over for Aranda. The players wanted and knew this and when he was passed over Orgeron split the locker room, coaches included. He even hid the fact that this was going on from Woody who didn’t discover it until after Pelini was here.

Brady was also not the OC.

So many of our fans still don't realize this. He may have been 99% responsible for the offense, but he wasn't hired as the OC.

In 86-87, the players wanted Mike Archer promoted. He got it.
We passed on an innovative offensive coach &!former Heisman winning qb from the USFL that wore a visor.
