Miami Vice was a Ferrari Testarosa

boring roadster look from the 50s-60s vs cocaine and sex of the countach

If you’re thinking what don johnson drove, you’re wrong.
He drove a Ferrari Daytona Spyder and then a Testarossa. But the Countach is kind of symbolic of that '80s over the top, "cocaine is king" aesthetic.

Right, but the show had an absolutely HUGE list of similar cars from the era throughout the series.
ETA I’m not arguing your answer, just saying the countach wasn’t that big of a deal in the run of the show. The Testarossa, like you said, was.

Oh, I know, it's my favorite show. There was at least one car chase involving a Countach but you're right, it wasn't a featured part of the show like Crockett's Ferraris.

I have a friend that has a black one. Let me tell you, it's ridiculously uncomfortable to ride in and the maintenance is crazy, even compared to other cars like it. But he can't go anywhere without a mass of people stopping him to talk about it. It's one of the truest head turners in existence.

I prefer the Diablo, which replaced the Countach.

No doubt. It was a car that was designed and started production in the mid 70s. Kind of how a lot of those cars were.

It's just badass. I feel like it really set the tone for the modern outlandish supercar look.

Kinda wild that this
could be described as conservatively styled relative to the Countach.

Because nothing really looked like that back then. The other daily cars were boxes.
