I had never heard the reason given
‘Bobble after catch but he was out of bounds during the bobble even though he regained control before hitting the ground’
I think we got home cooked on that play

he didn't complete the process and ball was bobbling.
It was close but the ball definitely bobbled as he brought it down to his stomach/chest. It could've gone either way but I see why they changed the call. Regardless, he made a hell of a play and showed me that he'll be a stud.

Dude he bobbled it after he went out of bounds, it was an incomplete pass. He just needs more time on the jug machines to get a clean catch next time.

Give us that TD and the pick 6 and we win the game 2 bad breaks

How are people so biased? After the first slo mo view of it, I knew it wouldn’t be a catch. The ball was moving after he got the one foot down.

The bobble was legit. If he makes the same play middle of field it’s a catch .

Not sure why people have to keep saying this.. yes every ball that is "caught" out of bounds would be a legit catch if the player was in the middle of the field. That's the dynamics of having boundaries.

The other thing I noticed is that they showed the highlight several times until the officials completed their review. As soon as the review was complete, the play was not shown again. Boom, done.

That was a catch
It was a catch, all right, but out of bounds.

There was an interception on the next snap and it was a bigger deal than an obvious incompletion.

The bobble was legit. If he makes the same play middle of field it’s a catch .
For the real play, he landed out of bounds by the time he secured the ball after the bobble. That's the big difference.
I'd love for poster here to be intellectually honest and ask themselves: would they believe it was a catch if it were an A&M receiver?
Of course, I know the answer.

After what happened two years ago on this field all intellectual honesty went out the window.

The bobble was legit.

right... because in the middle of the field he would've landed inbounds.
My take was the officials use of “ incomplete pass”. It was indeed a completed pass. He should’ve mentioned bobble and out of bounds when he secured the ball

There was no bobble in the usual case where rhe ball bounces free then is secured . It moved as he brought it down to his abdominal area but never really relinquished possession. That same ball movement happens on every catch at any point on the field including sideline. No matter the reversal required more explanation

When he gained control of the ball his foot came down on the line. What part are you confused about?
Same confusion that the "expert" analyst on the TV broadcast had...He said the call on the field should stand. So lets just stay it wasn't clear cut, not looking through Purple/gold glasses and all the other arrogant condescending remarks of you clowns.

The referee stared him down and rule touchdown.

lol wut
you have to control the ball to the ground and he didnt. That doesn't happen on every catch.
If he weren't out of bounds it would have been a catch. But he never established himself back in bounds before he regained full possession of the ball
