Anyone have one they recommend? Just need it for around the house. Have bunch of old Oaks and black walnuts that drop stuff all the time.
Was leaning toward the ezgo but saw a Greenworks pro 60v 16 inch on clearance for 150,reg 250.

I have the 20v deWalt Chainsaw and pole saw. Both work great and last a long time on a 5amp battery

I’m pretty fond of my Echo Timberwolf.

I watched a YouTube video, testing about 12 different battery saws the other day.
Stihl was the winner
Husqvarna and Dewalt were tied in second place.
Greenworks was middle of the pack.

I wouldn’t buy a lower end brand chain saw, just too many parts to trust a cheaper maker. And I buy plenty of cheap stuff.
I’d strongly consider buying a small gas stihl, echo, or husky and just use pre mix gas in it. One liter of pre mix will likely last you all year. With saws you still have to use bar oil so you aren’t getting away from having oil anyway.
If not, Almost everyone makes a battery saw these days I’d get the brand that has a battery you would use for other tools.

I have the greenworks and it works great for what I need it for.

As easy as the dewalt I’ve used is to operate compared to a gas pole saw I’m not a fan of the connection between the battery pole and the saw pole. Not sturdy enough.

I bought a gas Sthil saw about two years ago. But after seeing one of these DeWalt 60v in action I wish I would have went with it instead. Because after cutting everything on my property my gas saw is just sitting in the shed now. After the new house in finished I’ll have to start cutting a little wood for the outdoor fire pit but it’s still not going to get used enough to justify having a gas saw.

Don't get a Kolbalt.

I have the 40v Kobalt, and its rock solid. I've used it a lot this year cutting back small trees and large hedges and it's been long life and dependable.

What other type of power tools are you considering?
(many more, just a few, can they use same power source)
Because keeping up with a bunch of different batteries would seem like a PIA and price prohibitive to me.

I have the 80V Kobalt chainsaw, blower, and hedge-clipper. All work great.
That said, some of the less powerful models look like toys.

I want to buy one to butcher deer. Put mineral oil where the bar oil goes. Helped a butcher I know clean twenty 300 plus farm hogs one day and cut the hocks off and split the spine with an electric chainsaw. Worked amazingly.

Same equipment, and same experience here.

I just ordered the Ryobi 18volt 12 inch chainsaw. I already have a ton of batteries of I figured I’d give the chain saw a try. I don’t have any heavy duty cutting to do so it should fit my needs.

with no more than I use one I wanted a battery operated saw and went with the Ryobi 40v 16" model with the 4 amp battery and I've been really happy with it so far.

I have the chainsaw and blower and love them. Took down a large oak last Fall and cut it up. You do need two batteries though so one can be charging while using the other.

I have a 40V Ryobi 10" pole saw that I am very happy with. I live in the city and don't use it a lot but it is perfect for my needs and uses the same battery as my other Ryobi 40V tool that I am also very happy with.

Ego 18" is the easy winner
