Really nice Japanese knives at different price points

I couldn't really care less about some poor person getting benifits they don't "deserve". Nancy Pelosi steals more money in a single insider trade than these people possible could their whole lives.

Did you miss the thread showing it’s costing taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars in Texas alone? You don’t care about that at all? And they don’t deserve a single cent of taxpayer money.

I thought this whole thing started because Joe Jaeger swooped in and signed his DriveShack deal as a way of undercutting the Convention Center project and their deal with TopGolf? Jaeger then just left DriveShack unfinished until the 504 guys came in and bought the property and finished everything up. I wouldn't claim anyone did things the "right" way. IMO, the City of NO let politics get in the way of letting an established company like TopGolf come into the City and operate and instead settled for an inferior knockoff because they are local.

Thank you. Dude doesn’t know what’s he’s talking about. Jaeger a notorious shite bag with his properties (old mercy hospital in Midcity and building literally falling apart in CBD) had this drive shack idea before Five o Fore took over. He was very corrupt and donated a shite load of other shite bags in Nola city govt. he cried foul when top golf announced and that’s when the mess started
This smells of corruption from five oh fore owners and city officials which is in a much much shittier location. They held up the permits and eventually killed it all together.
K-Pauls used to serve butter beans at French quarter fest and they put chicken in there. Delicious!

Strong men create good times.
Good times create weak men.
And, weak men create hard times.
[quote]The jones act is the only thing keeping what little ship building industry we have alive. You would have foreign flagged and crewed vessels pushing barges up the Mississippi in no time. We can’t compete price wise on large container ships and tankers we would no doubt build a fantastic product but our lead time and price would be ridiculous compared to what they can do in Asia. Jones act keeps the small shipyards active building for the oil and gas along with brown water.[/The jones act is the only thing keeping what little ship building industry we have alive. This. Every country in the world has cabotage laws.
These other countries are heavily subsidizing their ship building industries

Alabama and Ole Miss are absolutely kicking our arse with attracting upper middle class to upper class kids from Louisiana right now….its an arse-whipping

This is nothing new though… well off kids whose parents could afford out of state tuition have been going to ole miss and Alabama for decades. I think part is just going away for college but also the Greek system at those schools

While they have some very good restaurants listed, it’s 100% a DEI prioritized list. Some very good “locally” famous restaurants not represented
That’s the best truck you’ve ever seen? It looks like a Honda ridgeline
The wife will prob want a Christmas cookie martini instead at Roosevelt.

I love the look on the bartenders face when people order a gin fizz during Christmas when in the weeds w ten deep at the bar.

The Reuben at Luizzas by the track is great for Nola. Parkway, Steins, and Martins are all good.

However, you will not find anything “comparable” to Katz’s or other NYC staples.
It appears everyone loves the rose and cucumber taste of Hendricks.. which I do as well but I prefer London dry style more w heavy juniper and citrus. My favorite is Plymouth but very close second is Sipsmith. I like beefeater and Bombay sapphire as well. Besides G&T’s, I love negroni’s, gin w Topo(similar to gin Rickey), and brambles
Or the slapping/throwing of every ingredient in the sandwich to make a fruit ninja noise. It annoys the frick out of me
