This is one of the few instances where idc about her past. She wasn't fighting with police. She wasn't armed. She was just a person who was caught up in the middle of a violent shootout between her dumbass boyfriend and the police. Police were not intending to shoot her.

I agree with the cop not being charged. And I also agree with the city paying her family.

What’s the over/under on that AR actually having a pistol lower?

Because if not, it’s a short barreled rifle and IS a felony to possess.

If you shoot at someone with a gun, more than likely they're going to shoot back. Unfortunately for Breonna Taylor, she was standing behind the man who shot at the cops and ended up getting wasted.

That’s not the issue. The issue is the Gaslight Media has convinced millions of clueless, gullible Americans that the police smashed down Breonna Taylor’s door and shot her dead while she lie peacefully sleeping. I couldn’t tell you how many people today still believe that BS just like they still believe the “hands up don’t shoot” crap and Trump’s misquoted Charlottesville comments.

And whether the police were justified in their shooting or not, I think it is reasonable for a person to shoot at people barging in his/her apartment because even if they announced themselves, it’s quite easy to not understand what they said and/or not really believe them.

In addition, there is video of many of those same officers actually serving a knock and announce warrant (Taylor’s was a no knock even if they ended up announcing) on the wrong house (or someone gave them the wrong house but it was the right house for the warrant), and their “announcement” was at the exact same time they took the bartering ram to the door. Luckily it was day time, and it looked like they were closer to a middle class family, but the kids were terrified and I think that was largely a result of the suddenness of the event.

I mean I don’t think I’ve heard anyone say she was sleeping in bed when she was shot, but besides that, that’s pretty close to the truth from Breonna’s perspective.

I mean they also mention the boyfriend shot at police, and even if they were justified returning fire, I think the BF was justified opening fire given the circumstances, and therefore her death is a tragedy either way. And something needs to change where a situation where all people act reasonably ends in someone’s death (even if it was a cop that ended up shot and dead).

Was she in her bedroom when killed?

I don’t know and it doesn’t really matter. She could have been relaxing on the toilet, pouring herself a beer, watching TV, etc. if someone is at home late at night, and someone barges in (warrant or not, and even if they announced themselves), I think either fight, flight, or freeze are not only reasonable responses, but the most likely. And someone shouldn’t die as a result of any reasonable and expected responses.

And we were all led to believe she was an innocent little snowflake and that those evil police slaughtered. Seen to me she wasn’t that at all.
