Just to add...I really liked what Lazeby brought to the role...Unfortunately, he really was the guy following the man. His stupid behavior leading up to On Her Majesty's Secret Service was baffling after he had done so much to win the role. That movie is VERY close to the book.

This is true.

A little too close to the book sometimes.
OHMSS is the first time Bond and Blofeld meet face to face in the books but the second time in the movie chronology so the movie has that weird sequence where they don't seem to quite recognize each other at Piz Gloria.
I know that was retconned by fans as Connery getting surgery to look like Lazenby but everybody else seems to recognize him on sight, which was aided by him introducing himself as "James Bond" throughout the movie.

Watch the George Lazenby Bond On Her Majestys Secret Service. Pretty much one of the better Bond Films.
Dalton's Living Daylights and even License to Kill are very Craig like so you should like those
A number of the Connerys are boring but others are great...Connery is always good in them.
I would skip most of the Roger Moore even though I like him as Bond..most of his are straight camp, Batman 60s Tv show almost

I’ve never seen that one! I’ll have to check it out

I always thought that Moore was having fun with the role moreso than Connery who took the role a touch more seriously.
I thought Brosnan had fun with the role as well and really came close to being like Connery.Craig's portrayal shows a darker side to Bond....Craig is a very good actor regardless possibly better than Connery in his later years.
You just wonder what could have been if Lazenby had not gone the full prima donna after HMSS. For a guy who really was not an actor, he does a very good job with the role.

I'm a big fan of all the old Bond movies with Connery and Moore. Not so much after them.
I get the feeling you wouldn't like them.

I love them all, even Spectre, as stupid as it is.

Moonraker is one of my favorites for the cast and the story. Drax is a great villain and Jaws is a great henchman. Holly Goodhead is a great female CIA operative. The finale is one that had people cheering in theaters.
Live and Let Die is great for the Blaxploitation, Sheriff J.W. Pepper and the NOLA/South Louisiana locations.
The Russian Circus story line makes Octopussy interesting. Maude Adams as the title name makes it a must watch.
The Spy Who Loved Me features my favorite Bond girl, Barbara Bach as a Russian operative Bond has to work with, and the villain is played by Curt Jurgens.
Dr. No is an evil villain. I spent 20 years of my life hoping for a scene like Bond finding Ursula Andress on the beach.
From Russia With Love Has Connery going against Robert Shaw, and one nasty Russain lady named Rosa Klebb.
Goldfinger gives us the best ever Bond girl name, Pussy Galore! She's not my favorite Bond girl, but I was only four when it came out. The villain is a good one, and his henchman, Oddjob is great.
Thunderball is one I don't remember much of, except it's set in The Bahamas, so there are lots of bikinis.
From what I remember, You Only Live Twice isn't that great, but the villain, played by Donald Pleasants is good.
Just my take on some of the older Connery and Moore ones.

Dalton is the best Bond. Connery has the best movies. Moore sucks arse. After Goldeneye, Brosnan strayed too far into Roger Moore territory, and there are some great things about Craig's movies but there are also some really bad stuff.

Freauxzen nailed it. I agree with everything he said.

Nonsense, just different, For Your Eyes Only is easily top 5 Bond film, maybe Live and Let Die as well.

Yeah no
Spy Who Loved Me is Moore's best effort.

Grew up during that time period where Roger Moore was James Bond, literally in real life. The man and the character were indistinguishable. James Bond was in Cannonball Run, not Roger Moore, for example. So I'll defend Roger Moore, his Bond movies were fun.
They are all worth a watch, some only once, some more than once. It's tough for me to put my finger on my favorite Bond movie because sometimes it just depends on the mood I'm in

Lots of Roger Moore haters here. Personally, he is my favorite Bond. His movies are the most fun.

And you think the actual film is on the same level as that pre-credits scene?

For Your Eyes Only was a good flick. Loved the Greek Bond girl and the whole vibe of that movie.

FYI, Pluto has a Bond channel now.

Moore is not my favorite, but I think he gets a lot of undue criticism. He deserves credit for not mimicking what Connery had done, but trying to make the part fit his personality. He’s much more of the traditional English gentleman, and he doesn’t try to be something he’s not. His earlier ones were definitely better, particularly Live and Let Die and The Spy Who Loved Me. The thing that makes the Bond movie series most interesting is their longevity. The fact that they can take 6 different actors throughout many decades of changing styles and values, and still make entertaining stories with the same character is pretty amazing. No other franchise comes close to having 25 films in the same series.

Connery was the best. Dalton was the most like Ian Fleming intended in his books. Craig is ruthless and robotic but somehow makes it believable. Brosnan was good but after Goldeneye the stories just weren't that good. Lazenby was excellent in his only turn as Bond in the underrated OHMSS. Who is left? Oh yeah, the Bond I grew up with. It wasn't until Dalton got Bond back on track that I realized Moore was just OK, a little like a cartoon character who way overstayed his welcome.
