It’s dumb to even consider being done with him after one game. Just typical overreaction by a fan base. But never block out other options. But definitely need more than one game to even consider other options.

I don't think our backups are ready. IT'S LIKE YALL MAKING IT JORDAN JEFFERSON VS JARRETT LEE all over again. Saying who's better when none of the freshmen QB's played a down yet. Myles is not giving up that starters spot.

Its the LSU way. I remember in the 04 Oregon State game people were screaming for JaMarcus after the first play (Randall INT) and then JR completes like every 3rd pass and they were yelling for Flynn. lol

How many times did Burrow throw it up to a covered receiver and they went up and got it.
About fifty percent of the time.
Burrow even said he did it, believing/knowing Chase or Marshall would go up and get it.

Hell we have talked all summer about Gilbert's ability to catch everything close to him. I wasn't surprised that he made the catch.
If Burrow had made that pass the board would be euphoric in praise.

Those were precision passes from the most prolific college quarterback in history . What the hell are you talking about.

Our only shot at salvaging the season is to run the table and make the SEC Championship game. If we lose one more, why not try one of the other QB’s? Nothing to lose then.

But dude DID score enough points that we should have been able to win that game
7 points were from the defense and 3 more were a FG after the defense recovered a fumble and the offense gained ... 1 yard.

So the offense scored 24 (and 7 of these were a short field after an interception).

So 24 was enough to win?

The defense was far more concerning than the offense.

The defense gave up 10/34 point through a pick 6 and turnover in FG position that the offense turned into 1 yard and a FG.

27 points when you punt 7 times is not enough to win.

Sorry, but I watched every play and Brennan didn't play well, was never in command, held the ball WAY too long, has little scrambling ability, is indecisive, and was inaccurate on too many throws. Sorry, but just looking at raw statistics doesn't tell the story. He played poorly, against a lesser SEC team, at home.

No one is saying he played well. He played very timid and without confidence. Receivers dropped several that they should have caught.

He still managed to score enough points that with any resemblance of a defense, we should have won that game.

The offense looked extremely unpolished and lacked confidence.

The defense (with one or two exceptions) looked completely lost and out of shape.

Disagree. 27 points is more than enough to win any game.

You are still not accounting for the 600+ yards of offense we gave up including 300+ after the catch.

Bottom line, we shouldn’t have lost that game and neither side played well, but it’s not like we got shut out. The things that went wrong on offense can be fixed. Brennan needs to learn to trust his receivers and get the ball to them quicker. The defense looked lost and out of shape especially the secondary. I haven’t seen a secondary look that bad in a long time

This is "Tell the truth Tuesday".

I'm well aware that Burrow never threw an errant pass.

I once owned a rabbit beagle that never lost a rabbit.

2 white jerseys around a single maroon one. one of those 2 was #2. he got it there falling down, I'd have tried that, too.

That’s the bullshite we said for YEARS and his the fact that we don’t have more trophies between 2007 and 2019 proves it’s not true.

Also I think it is fair to expect more out of the offense.

Brennan is a 4th year player. Almost everyone on the OL has a LEAST 1 start under their belts. With Rosenthal and Ingram have extensive experience.
Marshall and Deculus were 2/3 our returning starters on the whole team. McMath started a couple games and played a lot. All the RBs saw time and Curry started a CFP game.

Not a new system.

I wxpected The offense to pace the team and instead they went

5 and out
4 and out
3 and out
3 and out
TD
3 and out

That’s Just to start the game.

Second half:

Field Goal from the 8
TDs
Interception
4 and out
TD
Field Goal (got the ball in FG range moves 1 yard)
3 and Out
Int.

So 2 FG 2 TD. And one FG was a 3 and Out that happened to be in FG range.

That’s not an efficient offense and it also lead to a ton of possession for the other team. I if you’re playing HUNH it’s all about maximizing youR number of opportunities.

You know the old saying......
Nobody hates LSU as much as LSU hates LSU. This certainly describes half of the posters here.

But it's not, JJ and Lee both had their full run of games before it was a heated debate. When JJ first came in I think everyone was ready to let Lee just sit for a while.

This really isn't the same situation yet.

Plus we've had other guys come in games and become the starter in the recent past, Jmarc and Etling come to mind. Weren't starters the first game but came in and eventually became the full time starters.

Forgot Harris too.

The Rant has the emotional stability of a hormonal teenage girl and the football IQ of an XBOX geek. Brennan isn’t being replaced, he did nothing to warrant being replaced and if his performance is the standard for being benched we might have 3 repeat starters for this Saturday.
