I don't think our backups are ready. IT'S LIKE YALL MAKING IT JORDAN JEFFERSON VS JARRETT LEE all over again. Saying who's better when none of the freshmen QB's played a down yet. Myles is not giving up that starters spot.

But who would you pick?

Gotta answer the question at least.

still myles. a QB in his first SEC start going 345, 3td's was a pipe dream up to 2018.

still wouldn't hurt to kick the tires a time or two. some people just perform better in a real game.

That’s the thing that a lot of fans are missing here. We were so spoiled by what Joe & the offense accomplished last year, we forget that just a couple short years ago we were begging for that kind of performance from an LSU QB. Myles made mistakes Saturday and had some things to work on such as pocket presence & awareness no question. For a first career start in the SEC? That’s pretty good if you ask me, especially if that’s his baseline performance. He can only learn & grow from that game, at least we hope.

I think Myles deserves fair criticism. Not all of the faults lie with him, but he missed wide open receivers with plenty of time all game. Y'all can keep making excuses for him, but it was not a good performance.

And if we have someone on the bench behind him who might can do a better job, I don't think its wrong for saying "lets see someone else try"

I agree, but if week 6 rolls around and he’s still playing scared and missing wide open receivers all game long then it’s a valid question weather we move on or not.

Best stop making sense. That don't work around here. You need to be biatching about how Myles held on to the ball too long and that's why his arm got hit and that's why he threw the one interception and why he sucks and Coach O sucks, blah, blah, blah.

People whine about too much these days.

Agree.

Neither of them will start a game this year unless Brennan gets hurt because neither of them could do any better. If they could, they would have already separated themselves as the clear leader in practice.

LSU fans obsession with “the back up QB will be the savior” needs to stop. The back up QB will NEVER be the savior.

There is constructive criticism to be made on Brennan, without doubt. But dude DID score enough points that we should have been able to win that game. That’s a fact. The defense was far more concerning than the offense.

I agree he’s the QB for now and should not be benched yet. But it’s stupid to not at least keep options open.

you can't just look at the stat line - did you watch the game?

Brennan threw the ball 46 times - he should have a lot of yards. And one of his TDs was an absolute fluke where he just chucked it up for grabs.

Sorry, but I watched every play and Brennan didn't play well, was never in command, held the ball WAY too long, has little scrambling ability, is indecisive, and was inaccurate on too many throws.

Sorry, but just looking at raw statistics doesn't tell the story. He played poorly, against a lesser SEC team, at home.

This is silly.

You don’t know what you have until you see for yourself.

Georgia pulled their starter in favor of a freaking walk on.

I really don’t get the babying of Brennan. Any ways, I hope he improves.

Yeah, a pipe dream back when we could actually rush the ball.

We couldn’t. We had 40+ passing attempts and were gifted 4 freaking turnovers. Looking at overall stats is not a good indication of good play. We need to sustain drives better early on and it may even help the defense (who did make stops early on.)

I do believe we get better defensively.

I'm not done with him yet, and I think he needs experience and to watch himself on game film to correct mistakes. I do feel like depending on the record after the Bama game, and how he's faired, we could see somebody else vs Arkansas.
