LSU requiring students take Covid tests to get football tickets

This LA administration is getting more and more pathetic in its quest to get as much federal money as possible and for keeping Louisiana bars/businesses shut down. Absolutely ridiculous.

The people in charge are trying like hell to keep the numbers pumped up of BS asymptomatic positives

JBE is desperate to keep his numbers up. I have access to the numbers and more people are being paid to conduct the testing than actually test per day at this point.

They aren't requiring it. They simply said "if you took one and its negative, we'll bump you up in priority"
Very common sense thing to me
LSU is working hard to get everyone tested so that any assymptomatic ppl can be quarantined without infecting others

More negative tests are a good thing

Or maybe, and try to keep up, they're just trying to make sure sick students aren't attending the game and spreading it to people. What a novel concept.

I could make a few dollars selling them Cliffs Notes for their COVID tests.

It's the antithesis of common sense.
How does a negative covid test today mean anything for 9/26 and the rest of the season?

Those fascists! Or communists! Or whoever they are!

That's basically the same thing. You're arguing semantics.

Unless they test every single day it’s pointless

It’s a Covid test, not a vaccine. They are just as likely as anyone else to have it come game day.

If anything, they should give priority to people who can prove they've had it.
I'm not advocating that, but it would make more sense than what they're doing.

The tests can apparently date back to August. It’s a terrible precedent that the pro statists are trying to force on everyone else. Why would anybody who isn’t in need of a test, I.e. actually sick take one? This is strictly to entice a population who likely will have many non symptomatic positive tests to pump numbers.

Covid tests are better than woke tests. I would fail the latter.

To add to the stupidity:
"Priority consideration for student tickets this year will be given to those students who have had a COVID-19 test completed and reported to the university any time after Aug. 15, 2020. "
So if they didn't have it a month ago, they're good.

I don't know how recent the test must be in order to get priority.
But either way the are trying to ferret out assymptomatic people so as to get ahead of the virus.
Incentivizing testing is a great way to nip the next outbreak in the bud

Randomly testing people with no symptoms achieves nothing
