well and to be fair, that depends on how much you load up those farmers walks too.

couple times during strongville i pushed them up to 125+ in each hand and yea that shite can destroy you.

I did 75s on my last set and felt the burn for the rest of the workout.

DL/chinups got me today.

My wife's old apartment gym had those and I loved them. They are on my wish list for my home gym whenever that day comes.

For those of you that have done Squatober in the past, what kind of gains did you see on your 1RM?

It's a weird feeling, but next Tuesday feels like Christmas to me. I just don't know if I'll be happy or slightly disappointed when I unwrap the present under the tree.

Me and my son both put like 45lbs on our squats last year. That was as new lifter (him) and recovering from a back injury (me). We both kept those strength gains forever tho and just continued to progress in PPSA.

I was a very new lifter. I believe I used 225 as my TM, but did 235x4 for my max. I didn’t push for a top single. Great squat gains then, and I expect it this time too. I just did 32 reps of 220 in ten minutes, so I’m pretty confident I can pump out a 260-275 lb single. Maybe more!

Strongville down. My 91% squat was 3 plates, and the last set I did 6 instead of 4. Felt great! On the bench I barely got 4 on the top set, and I definitely needed a spot on the unracking to be able to do 3 and 4 reps at that weight. I feel like I have earned these squatober shorts haha

I'd consider myself a new lifter still. I messed around with some machines for a year or so, but didn't really know what I was doing. Started PPSA in Jan and absolutely loving it. Had to take a break July thru mid-Sept due to gym moving. Currently using 255TM. Definitely putting in the work and sticking to the plan. Just anxious to see where I'm at Tuesday.

You’re a day ahead? I should’ve done that too.

I love these lightweight paused squats. Great stretch!

Yeah I have work travel Friday am so wanted to knock this week out in advance. I may have to wait til I’m back at home Thursday or Friday to set a PR tho (unless there’s a good gym nearby).

I’ll probably do Wednesday instead of Halloween. Gotta hand out candy and take my girl trick or treating.

I’ve been rocking my chin-ups pretty good the last few months. Those last couple sets I barely got 5 and the last one may have been 4 1/2.

Made it all the way to Strongville. I have to say, my last rep of squats and last two reps of bench were a struggle, but I got them up.

Squats weren’t as smooth as I hoped but I’ll take it. Still dehydrated and down 10lbs from Friday. May go get an IV and get rehydrated.
