Done!

Looking good guys!
I've said before in this thread, my goal was 300+. Last year I failed my PR attempt of 260.
My lifetime PR I hit when testing my maxes the last week of September, that was 295. So my training max (93%) was 275.

My plan today was to do 275-300-305 and see how I felt. 275 felt so good I jumped straight to 305. 305 moved well enough that I said screw it, took 5 minutes and threw 315 on and nailed that! It was tough, I probably would not have been able to get 317.5 up, but heck yeah I'm pumped.
On to Benchoholic for November for me. It was fun boys!

Used 255 as my training max all month and set my goal today at 285. Started at 255 and moved up 4% each lift until 112% which was 285. Almost got stuck in the hole but kept my cues and got 285 up without too much issue. Really want to get to 315 one day but that will eventually come.

To end this month, I want to say I think this is the best Squatober programming that I have participated in (did 2020, 2021 and this year). Felt like Aaron put some emphasis on getting the upper body involved. Also going heavy on farmers walks probably helped a lot of people more than they think. I think I would run this one again to prep for next year.

Started with 305 training max. Hadn’t maxed prior - just estimated. Upped to 315.

PR was 330 today. I’m happy.

Just got my chili hot. Here we go.

Got 250. Feeling good. Probably could go a tad more but I’m gonna stick with it so I don’t fail one without a spotter.

My max at the beginning was 225.

Bench stayed the same.

Started squatober with 435lbs, for 90% TM. I hit my goal of 475 or 110% and that might be the first time I thought I might fail a rep. In hindsight, if I hadn’t done 455, I think 475 would’ve been easier.

I said I wasn’t testing bench but I’m stubborn. I hit my TM of 395 easily but I’m still going to reset. Ive strained something, possiblely my bicep tendon. I think if I was healthy I could’ve hit 415, which was my theoretical 1rm.

I’ve got short arms and thick chest. I’m essentially doing a board press

Of course that kills my deadlift.

Right there with ya on the short arms bench cheat code.

Well I got my PR party right where I wanted

Worked up to 335 (hit 315 last year) and was using a TM of 315 so that seems about right.

Could have gone higher but didn’t feel too confident without a spotter and my knee was giving me some pain. So instead of upping to 345 I just did another set at 335 and got 2 reps.

Was pretty beat after that 335 x 2 so didn’t even try maxing bench just called it a day.

All in all very successful.

I was bored and did some benching a couple of Saturdays ago. I pushed 280 up clean. I think I might get 290 today. My all time PR is 295. I'm definitely running All I Want for Christmas is a Big Bench. I want to hit 315.

My son got COVID over the weekend so I didn’t have a spotter. I cruised up to 110% of my TM, but stopped at 117% (305). I was really close to my 3 plate goal (would’ve attempted it with a spot), but I’m still pretty satisfied with going from not being able to squat at all this summer due to a back injury to squatting over 1.5x my Bodyweight. That is also still a 40lb increase from my max testing the end of September.

Good luck to everyone on their PR goals and thanks to all for tor support this month!

Won't lie. It worries me a little out in the garage with no spotter. I really need to add some spotter arms to my rack.

That's what I'm blaming my bench on (true or not). I felt like my bench was getting stronger the last couple of weeks but I just didn't have it today. I had a lot of bench gains last month after running Silverback but I still feel like I should have been able to up my max by 10 lbs. I'll try again next month.

my 6 year old was in there last night watching when i failed at 270 and had to bring it down on the spotter arms and roll it to my neck and slide out. Needless to say he was a little freaked and worried
