Hypothet. - if someone whose positions align highly with yours seizes authoritarian power

How would you respond?
- Say "hell yeah, representative democracy ain't all that great after all."
- Reluctantly become a resister because to you democracy is even more important than your positions on individual issues.
- Bemoan the fact that it happened but quietly just accept the fact.
- Cozy up with the power to the extent possible and try to settle scores with your enemies.
- Something else.
ETA: Just thought I'd bump this to see if any opinions have changed.

I am Generally against authoritarianism as the basis of my political position.
I think a good ebb and flow between conservatives and liberals is important to maintaining a society.

People who align with my political views wouldn't seize total power. I'm a conservative. I believe in limited government. (See: George Washington)
