Working in healthcare operations through all this it has been abundantly clear that the CDC is a complete useless government fluff organization. If it was disbanded tomorrow no one would know it.

I don't want a link or study. What is your logic to back this up? If you are trolling, just say that.
I don't like masks.
1. People wear them over and over. They dont wash them. It's basically a Petri dish.
2. People don't know how to wear them. They don't cover their nose. They don't fit around there face.
3. Half the masks have an exhaust vent. If its supposed to protect others, why the F*** does it not filter what you breathe, cough, or sneeze out.
4. It has to be constantly adjusted so your hands have to be near your face more.
5. The majority of masks are not very efficient. They will eventually load up and blast all the particles at once.

The only good thing about mask is that if you dont wear one, nobody gets near you. This keeps me safe. I dont get near people and I wash my hands.
Gloves are stupid also.

Edit - I see your response above. I can't argue a nursing home setting. I am guessing you are using multiple masks a day. Also probably been trained on how wear them. I'm sure you wash your hands 10+ times a day.
I am not in or go to a nursing home. I want to be safe around the average walmart shopper. Masks make me less safe if I wear one.

Are you fricking serious right now? Uncited nursing home like settings? in an uncited study. A controlled environment which has little to nothing to do with how most people live, yet the exact environment where the largest proportion of ppl have died due to this virus. That’s your scientific evidence that masks work? And I’m the one being emotional?

Here’s my nonscientifc take. I think if we’re going to base any mandate, or even “suggestion” by mayors, governors, congress whoever and say it’s “science”- it should be Based on evidence that can be quantified in something - and “trickle” is NOT a unit of measurement. But what the frick do I know? I’m not listening to my worst fears of the unknown or anything.

Nobody. Knows. If. Masks. Work.

Masks are just virtue signaling devices so people can look like they’re “doing something.” I fricking wear one to be polite bc I pick my battles. But I’m not afraid to say it’s stupid and my wearing one is solely to protect myself from over emotional lunatics who have no idea if masks work, and say things like trickle and would probably video me or accost me in the grocery store to make themselves feel like they have control over this stupid fricking chaotic idiotic situation. I have a sneer of righteous resentment underneath my stupid, Karen-Mandated Mask. So- I am emotional about it. And my emotions are not positive. But I’m not the one trying to control

I believe him on this, and I have to agree that wearing masks around folks that are at risk makes a lot if sense

Additionally, I’m sitting in a public setting currently outside a store that is enforcing a mask policy watching people pull cloth masks out of their purses for them and their children and then when they leave placing them back in their purses.

IF these these are collecting/filtering any viral particles people are simply collecting them and placing them amongst their personal artifacts to then encourage the spread...

I think masks - while probably unconstitutional to mandate - are what’s behind the lower death rates. That and the distancing measures - because they both help limit the amount of virus youre exposed to.

Viral exposure is like any other toxin: the more exposure, the more lethal it can be.
