The question was asked in another thread earlier this week regarding the roots of this anarchy and my response, while not as deep as yours was simply, "Porn. Free porn."
So whether paid or free, doesn't matter. Your reasoning is worth study. It also explains the rise in bisexual/transsexual behavior as these acts are "mainstreamed" as well any other deviant act you care to see. The "anything goes" attitude has certainly manifested itself in current culture.

I'll throw out another cause of today's anarchy that isn't porn...abortion. The government also incentivizes abortion. Much like it incentivizes out of marriage child birth, it also incentivizes the murdering of children. All Democrat proposals.
So when you get down to it, the responsible party to today's anarchy is much likelier to be the Democrat party than porn.

The either or argument of economic factors vs moral factors is simplistic. The Sexual Revolution (of which porn is just an example of) and the establishment of the Welfare State together were two factors that happened at the same time that together combined resulted in the synergy of decadence that we see today.
Two vices were promoted by part of society- Sloth and Lust. And really porn represents the combination of these two things.

Cool bananas. I do look at porn like most every other poster in this thread. It's a means to an end not something that I think about much.

Moderation,all things in moderation.Many folks abuse things such as alcohol or hard drugs.Some abuse food.Some abuse other people.Some abuse power.No one is perfect,we all sin.Porn can be a useful outlet,a vent,but like anything it can be abused.Porn is not real,it’s a fantasy,like a movie.Wise people can control their emotions and selves.Chose wisely.
