progressives could move to states with riots, high taxes, and reparations,
but there's the problem. Once the progressives have dumped in their own bed, they would leave for a conservative state and just bring their crap with them.

So what's different from today? We have states that already receive less than what they paid into the system and others that receive more than they paid into it.

Things are so polarized politically it almost seems like we have a 2 state government battling on every single topic. It's brutal

You'd have to establish 10? 15? 20? years of residency inside a state to be able to vote in local/state elections

True, but I guess we can then hope they will trade a fair deal on their technical advancements. I guess states can make a deal with a couple of Asia's top producers as well

Should the Federal government do anything if local and state governments refuse to protect their citizens? These are American citizens being terrorized by criminals. Should we allow states rights (as in their right to be pussies and do nothing) go without concern? If your answer is 'yes' then you're a moron

Yes, let them do as they please. As long as they are not interfering with the rights of citizens of the other states. What you are suggesting, that the feds run the states, is what has caused the problems. Our state and local governments have become insulated from their folly. This has caused them to become infantilized, and has resulting in their beclowning themselves. Let them face the consequences of their decisions. They will mature and correct their problems.

Secession would be viewed as racist. The fighting would be in state first. What kinda domino affect that has I’d anyone’s guess

No, nor should there have been the first time, any state should be able to leave for whatever reason it wishes.

This is short sighted. I would agree with you if the unalienable rights of those in the ill-governed states weren't being affected. Those rights being Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. There are some lines even incompetent or misguided public servants are not allowed to cross. We sure as hell meddle in human rights issues outside of the US. We damn well have an interest in protecting our own citizens.

So the largest economy in California (which I am pretty sure pays the most into the federal tax system but not positive), technical sector and epicenter of the modern economy in New York.

You think giving them the boot is wise?

Side note, Washington is a beautiful state but can totally be a part of Canada. Good music scene though

Don't care, because I know for a FACT that they know giving US the boot is neither wise nor sustainable.

The sooner the citizenry realizes that we got the nuts in this deal, the better.

And make no mistake: We WILL, eventually, realize this.

This is just stupid.. Countless confrontations happen acroos the globe and a nuke is never brought into play..

If a nuke was ever unleashed again it would probably be the end of humanity as we know it..
