Given another secession, would there even be a civil war this time?

I feel like neither side would have the balls to fire the shots.

Yeah, not sure how that would work out logically. Not saying all but most of the states that would sign up are the same states depending on federal money. Especially in the South if that's who we are talking about

The battle for Pornhub will be quite the tale in the future.

We need a new word instead of secession. That is a group splitting apart from the Union. I propose we describe it more as "a cleaving" or "the partitioning" where we kick out California, New York, Washington, etc. We can allow certain cities to petition to remain, but we need to kick these frickers out.

So, in that model, if the people in power cleaved those undesirables out of the Union then the South would not be fricked. They obviously have significant number of people who don't believe in American values, so why force them to be a part of us. Let BLM run it. Nirvana accomplished.

So the largest economy in California (which I am pretty sure pays the most into the federal tax system but not positive), technical sector and epicenter of the modern economy in New York.

You think giving them the boot is wise?

Side note, Washington is a beautiful state but can totally be a part of Canada. Good music scene though

Never underestimate the ability for a group of humans to get spun into a frenzy and do things that seem unlikely.

What if the states that seceded decided to put an end to all the entitlement programs that made them dependent on federal money in the first place, and those members of the populace who wanted those entitlements emigrated to the more progressive neighbor?

How about just enforce the constitution, and let states govern themselves. The feds would have the power assigned to them in the constitution and that’s it. If we did that, progressives could move to states with riots, high taxes, and reparations, and conservatives could move to states that enforce the law and leave taxes low.

I wonder who you are referring to here

It isn't just entitlements, it's infrastructure, education, and healthcare too.

Absolutely. I also quickly fire people without character who are extremely competent and talented. It's not worth it.

Fair enough, I will say it sure is nice when Louisiana has that federal aid rolling in every disaster. Like floods...

Of course. After secession, we immediately declare war and conquer the remaining states. Although I'm willing to give California to Mexico

Why not a 2 state solution? 2 governments run the entire country. Conservatives pay their 24% tax rates to the Republican government and Democrats pay their 50% tax rates to their government.

No, those frickers would continue their liberal flight away from these areas yet do their best to push their bleeding heart values on others. They'd make excuses as to why they left and how they weren't a part of the problem.

Answer me this: Should the Federal government do anything if local and state governments refuse to protect their citizens? These are American citizens being terrorized by criminals. Should we allow states rights (as in their right to be pussies and do nothing) go without concern? If your answer is 'yes' then you're a moron and don't recognize the basic reason for governments to exist.
