The Middleton family on Thursday released a statement to The Advocate.

"General Troy Middleton was an American hero and Louisiana icon. We expressly and unequivocally denounce the university's dishonorable plan to remove his name and memorials from the very library the funds for which he led the university's effort to obtain from the state legislature," the statement reads.

"We encourage the public to reach out personally to each member of the Board of Supervisors, and to the Governor's office, to express their outrage at this proposed defenestration. We further encourage the Board of Supervisors to take this opportunity to make a principled stand against erasure of this great state's history."

Has anyone informed them that they are, in fact, racists?

Middleton Family is about to have their banks refuse to do business with them after the mob goes after them for daring to speak out

Why Middleton? He's a WW2 soldier that fought in Bastogne.

Anybody else reconsidering whether you want your kids to go to LSU? The whole "get rid of FKA and things will be put right" theory doesn't seem to be working so well.

I wonder if there will be a record of this in the new library?

This is a terribly written sentence. I had to read it a few times for it to make sense.

Look, folks--the reason why LSU administrators can fall all over themselves in pandering to the unreasonable demands of black students and faculty is because (1) LSU administrators are comprised of left-wing adherents who are looking for an excuse to do what they want to do anyway, and (2) there is no counter-pressure on the administration from those with opposing viewpoints.

The way to hit LSU is in the pocketbook. How many of us are willing to forego our season football tickets to protest these irresponsible actions by LSU leaders? How many of you who donate money to the university are willing to say that you are no longer going to donate? How many of you are willing to write to your state representatives and senators and ask for legislation to bring LSU under control? LSU administrators need to be hit between the eyes in terms of funding, but that is not going to happen.

Do they not know that they are in for a whirlwind of shiot because they know a Middleton? Was it not enough for the Georgia linebacker to get his rocks of there to preserve the place?
