re: Single men over 30, do you date women in your age range?

I'm early 30s. It's tough to date women in their 30s. Most have emotional baggage from previous relationships, are legit crazy, and/or want to rush into something right away.

Early 20s is also tough. Usually pretty immature and likes to party.

24-28/29 is usually the sweet spot.

I am 37 and have the best luck with women around 28. Younger than 25 is just fun to have set with. They start getting life around 24.

My last “gf” was 21 and it moved extremely quickly but also ended abruptly because she said the age was too much long term. She was definitely into it sexually though—still a bit broken up about it.

Ok but what are the odds of them hooking up with a young man in his early 20’s?

I’m 41.

As long as she’s legal and has a heartbeat, she’s a possibility. Beyond that, it’s about the individual. I do have a strong preference for women without kids, though, especially school age kids. However, it would shrink the pool too much to make it a dealbreaker, so not having kids is more like a bonus than a necessity.

I am embarrassed to say this but I am 52. When I was in my 40’s, I kept trying for women who were in their mid to late twenties.

I figured out that most of these ladies saw me as creepy. I have a great career and I give generously to others in need but I could never make a connection happen.

In 2015, I dated a lady I went to HS with. The relationship lasted about 16 months but it was a long distance relationship that eventually stalled.

I suppose I should forget about women in their 30’s. Most women in their forties are off the market or have drama with them. I’m always a day late finding a good woman.

Good friend is 46. His current love interest is a 59 year old widow. They've been dating 4 or 5 months and he's pretty smitten with her. She doesn't look or act that old though. I thought she was our age when I first met her.


Every other girl I've met of his has been closer to his age.

I'll be 50 this year and I try to stay in the no older than 35 range. IMO most women my age that would be worth dating are looking to date younger guys LOL!
