19 is probably too young for me to consider dating seriously,

I'd be absolutely old enough to be her dad and it not even seem unusual

I think my wife is 8 years younger than me, but we don't know for sure. She's a refugee from Africa and things are kind of a blur over there.

17 is too young, 19 is probably too old.

the range is unlimited. Though late 20s to early 40s is the most realistic for anything meaningful.

This right here.

ETA: Really, it's all about maturity levels. I've seen people in their 40s and 50s still acting like they have to go clubbing every night and I've seen people in their 20s with a much higher maturity level than those in the same age range.

Just stay away from immature crazies - no matter their age.

Weird that you selected that specific time frame.

My advice is to date someone who you know wants you. If they don’t that much, it’s a waste of time

I’m trying to, but they aren’t having any of it.

My dad is 68 and recently told me he has been dating 40-year-old women for 40 years now.

How old were you when you started dating?

Ha. We only dated for six months but knew each other through mutual friends for a couple of years, so she was legal and smokin hot.

My dad is 70 and has had the same girlfriend for like 15 years. They date off and on again. She's like 5 years older than me

26-49.

I am 49 and do OK for myself. I'm an intellectual snob. I'm dating a vet resident who's doing a few extra years for trauma vet stuff. She's 27. I'm coin operated so I don't really understand some of what she does. I've had dogs since I could comprehend the world too. She has a higher calling than me.

(edit) Adopted every dog I've ever owned.
