Because nothing celebrates the New York spirit quite like commercial airliners flying towards Manhattan at 2000 ft
I'll be honest, this is stupid but I'd watch it anyway. The comments on Twitter and elsewhere are pretty hilarious.

The joke here is that they expect to take off on 22 and land on 31 all within a matter of 30 minutes. The winds won't change that much . Luckily for them the winds are out of the West today so they could do 31 both ways

I’m pretty sure people know what a commercial airliner looks like flying overhead. Why would anyone take even 3 seconds out of their day to look up and watch one fly over?

Commercial jets over Manhattan at low altitude certainly shouldn't make anyone nervous.
