Depends on the agency/owner.

If people aren’t even taking reservations from Louisiana residents for later in the summer after the 45 days, they’re losing a shite load of money

I just made reservations in Pensacola last night (last week in June). Had no idea this was coming, or that there were still restrictions. Went to Orange Beach last weekend and it was the most crowded I've ever seen it, so I figured it wasn't a problem. Seems like it wouldn't have allowed me to even make the reservations in the first place if there were restrictions, but what do I know?

Who knows. Sounds like it’s a cluster frick. From reading some other stuff here, sounds like they can still cancel your reservation after the fact. Especially if through a third party and not the owner direct.

From their website "At this time we are currently not able to assist guests arriving on June 1st or later."

Ours reservation starts May 31st. Hopefully we hear something soon.

Things are fluid. Most agencies are letting people book then cancelling on them later. It's possible you will be ok for late June, as 30 days will have passed, but nobody knows with any certainty.

I booked on VRBO last night with no issues. Had no idea any of this was impending, honestly.

We booked a house in Pensacola Beach on Sunday for Memorial Day weekend through VRBO. We spoke with the manager today and she told us that she expects no problems at all with us coming and basically told us not to worry about it. I guess it just depends on the agency/owner. As of now we are going and will take 90 through Alabama to get there.

Yeah, my mom booked a unit in the same place as us, but through a different agency. She called the management company, and they told her that they fully expect the restrictions to be cleared by 6/1. They said there are 4 or 5 executive orders in place and it's really tough to adhere to them or even understand them. But they don't think there is going to be a problem past May.

Uhh, he said reservations. If you're staying for free in a friend's place you're probably fine. That wasn't what I was talking about.

Gotcha. I thought he was pretty clear in that last sentence: "If anyone asks (and no one has), they are not renters. “Uncle John” is letting them stay at his house."

This whole thing reminds me of back in the day selling a $300 pen on ebay that happens to come with free LSU football tickets. Anyone from LA can say they're staying at a friend's condo and no $ changed hands. Would a beach cop demand to see your bank/paypal records?

We have reservations next weekend in Pensacola but were told a few hours ago we were still good to go, looks like that was before this new plan was adopted.

Booked the condo in January for this weekend. Owner told us he is not going to cancel our reservation.

My question are the state troopers still going to allow us to pass through?

Some good news coming out today. Bans lifted in multiple pan handle counties. New Yorkers are still SOL but looks like all southern states are fine.
