Due to the increase to 17 games and the Superbowl now being pushed back an additional week, New Orleans will now host in 2025.

Reason, that extra week would cause the Superbowl to be on the same Sunday as Bacchus.

It would be pushed back 2 weeks (unless the season starts earlier). They are also adding an extra bye week.

Any source?

Also a SB you MIGHT get once every 10 years vs. one of MANY parades you see EVERY year? No brainer.

Can't imagine a decision as large as this would have been made that quickly, especially given everything else going on right now.

Back in 2012 the Super Bowl was in NOlA and it split the last two weekends of Mardi Gras up. My buddy at the time was a student at LSU, and ended up failing out b/c he spent those 3 weeks in NOLA. He just never left.

IDK how this is relevant but I always found it hysterical.

Bacchus rolled uptown with TELEVISIONS on their floats one years when NOS had a playoff game.

Dip shite, they wouldn't add an extra game, just cut out the 4th preseason game...

They use to play 6 preseason games, and 14 regular season games... see how it works..
