Finally ran across some renderings of the right field project. Looks like it'll be called the Michelob Ultra Club with a bar and bar top seats.

Looks like a fine place to enjoy a fairly cold, $9 mich ultra

I’m in BR so I usually try to score some decent seats if I’m making the drive, but any of y’all ever watch from Torchy’s or the Bud deck? Is that all first come first serve or you gotta pay to sit at the tables? Might be a nice change up sometimes.

Both. The Torchy's seating deck is ticketed access only (I think it's a $25 ticket) but seating is first come first serve and limited to 200.

The Bud deck is limited to group sales only.

So, what we’ve been saying all along.

“No, bruh, they were right on every sign-stealing attempt and got a hit every time they successfully stole a sign.”

Would love to see that writer’s email inbox right now.

Just go on any Astros-centric thread on /r/baseball. It's not as fun as you'd think.

They are miserable. I want more teams to get busted purely to see how /r/baseball copes

Straight denial or whataboutisms is exactly how they would cope.

That article is written by a reluctant writer with a catchy title for his readership.

I would like to see someone mention the home and away breakdowns, and then ask the buzzer questions followed by the ‘19 WS results.

After having read Smart Baseball, I went straight to stats, when hearing about this scandal. It was wholly apparent that their scheme was detrimental, and easily concluded throughout the playoffs that no benefits were had, strictly based on results.

If anyone were to provide me just one instance where a game changing AB occurred in a playoff series using a stolen sign with this system, I would be indifferent in defense of their championship.

Jabroni health status

Still wonder if we could get him back even if he won’t be able to contribute until May or June. I’ve never been the biggest Jabroni fan but he seems like a bargain at what will likely be a minor league deal or really low cost one year major league deal

Seriously, Astros have enough drama going on. They don't need his and his wife's drama too.

If they sign him, he'll be the first Astros player to play for the Astros, while hating the astros and try to throw at his own players.

Return of the lance today. Not televised but per Rome

quote:

Chandler Rome @Chandler_Rome · 24m Lance McCullers Jr. threw 16 pitches. Ten were strikes. His fastball was 91-93 on the stadium gun — hit 94 once. He struck out Paul Goldschmidt on a curveball to end his outing after three batters. McCullers got a groundout, allowed a double to DeJong and punched out Goldschmidt

Dusty said he would pitch one inning but I guess he meant just three batters assuming no problems sounds like a good start

It's on the Cardinals broascast which you can find through reddit streams. Lance was scheduled to go 1 inning or 15 pitches. He got 2 outs at 16 pitches and Dusty pulled him. They didn't have pitch speeds on the broadcast but he got Goldschmidt to strikeout swinging on a curveball

In other news, Funny Man Biagini still kind of sucks as pitching.

Agreed. Hopes and dreams seem to be our strategy for the rotation and Whitleys arse is firmly in the jackpot

quote:

Expectations for Whitley feel diminished during his second major league spring training. Strom already has said he does not consider Whitley a “viable candidate” to break camp with the major league club. Bryan Abreu and Cristian Javier seem closer than Whitley, who was once the sport’s top pitching prospect.

Yet another ludlow gem. Ludlow- the gift that keeps on giving

He needs to prove he can get through a AAA start without walking half the crowd first.
