I’m starting to lean that way. Whitley doesn’t have the mental makeup to be a workhorse in this league.

I saw a snippet of an interview after his outing today. Basically, he says, "I pitched great from the windup because Strommy had me incorporate an arm swing I used to do in high school. Then, when I had to pitch from the stretch, I didn't know what to do with my arm, so it took me awhile to get adjusted."
I'm sorry, but if that dude is so bent out of shape that he's resorting back to his high school mechanics after all these minor league games -- I don't know if he'll ever see a MLB game on the field.

Every now and then it works out. Talk about a failure in scouting this was, I remember everyone on this thread was saying springer was coming back hacking after he dropped the go ahead the inning before

Any of yall watching this game? Our minor leaguers are some absolute butchers in the field. in the last 3 batters:
LF charged in too hard on a sinking liner and it flew past him as he dove sideways.
Line drive into right, RF plays it on a bounce and overthrows the cutoff man to throw home on a runner he had no chance to nail.
This allowed the runner to advance from first, catcher picked up and dropped the ball in an attempt to throw to 2nd.
LHB sends and oppo shot to 3rd base who booted it and chased after it, colliding with the shortstop.
