Saw that stat line. Pretty encouraging.

Whitley appeared to have command issues...... AGAIN. Gave up no hits and struck out two, but walked a guy and half of his 18 pitches were balls.

He's standing in line to purchase his ticket to bustvillle. Gonna crash on Appel's couch for a little while when he gets there.

I might watch his outing when I get home, but I noticed last time that he looks so uncomfortable on the mound. It was like he was fighting himself to just get through his windup.

Wonder if/when they ask him to just pitch from the stretch or simplify it as much as they can. It's teetering on "Forget the name" territory for sure.

JV was hitting 97 today. At least we will have a true professional on the mound every fifth day until the Trade deadline

All kidding aside we have been so spoiled with JV the last two and a half years. To have a workhorse like that at the top day in day out 200+ innings is such a luxury and rarity nowadays

What’s worse: thinking MLB will actually perform a true investigation or thinking A-Rod is the harbinger of truth and virtue?

Dusty Baker said DH Yordan Alvarez will be shut down for a few days from baseball drills to rest his knees.

He's 22 and we're only 3 weeks into Spring training

Really interesting story on ESPN this morning. I'm not posting it for the idiots to pick apart in some "orange team bad" thread.

Greinke with 3 IP of shutout 2K ball this afternoon. Apparently the extra two weeks off has him feeling good.

Not a terrible outing for Pruitt today

Flyout
Single
Inning ending double play

Groundout

Double
Groundout

Flyout
Double
Homerun
Groundout

Worth noting the wind was blowing out at 19 mph. For his 2 outings so far he's totaled 6IP 5H 2ER 0BB 0K 10 groundouts 5 flyouts 3 double plays.

My favorite quote

quote:

. "You look at these home playoff numbers, sometimes it's hard to explain," Joe Buck said. Well, that's one way to put it. The Astros went 8-1 at home that postseason, hitting .273/.343/.519 compared to .208/.284/.347 on the road. Of course, the Yankees went 6-0 at home and 1-6 on the road with a larger OPS difference than the Astros, so be careful where you cast your small-sample-size stones.

The media knew what the Astros were doing back in 2017. Just like they knew the Yankees were doing very similar, if not the exact same thing.

Yet, here we are in the new reality: ARod is some how the champion for all things virtuous.

Folks it's happened. Kyle Tucker collected a hit after an 0-16 start to his spring.
