Rhode Island? It’s so small -and you don’t have outdoor recreation opportunities like like you do in larger, rural states.

WTA—Also would add, based off second-hand service member testimonies, Hawaii after a couple of years (island fever).
no way a state on the Ocean is the most boring

It has to be Kansas or Iowa. Total wastelands

Yeah I was wrong. Alabama is definitely more boring but if you’re not big into nature, Idaho can be pretty boring

You obviously never been there. The panhandle is some of the prettiest country I’ve seen

No but it’s not a list of the most beautiful states. I’ll admit I’m wrong on it being the most boring.

North Dakota and Delaware seem like pretty good answers too. I can't think of many reasons to visit either of those states. They are 2 of the 4 I've never been to though.

Driving I70 from KC to Denver has got to be one of the most miserable drives in the country. I think when I was a kid the speed limit was only 70 mph where you wouldn’t pass anyone for miles

Oklahoma. There is a reason why OU fans are such assholes when they’re at playoff/national championship games. On top of watching their team choke again, they have to go back to their shithole meth infested state after the game’s over.

Yeah the state with the most federally own forest, that borders Canada, and has unbelievable beauty, hidden hot springs, Hemmingway's grave, some of the best whitewater in the world. Shitty.

Nebraska is probably a gut reaction for many, but I would argue the CWS is at least enough to keep it off the top line. Or maybe that's too niche.

I have never been to ND, but I agree Kansas has to be up there.

Indiana doesn't seem to have a lot going on, but you could live there and be considered a part of Chicago metro, which is something I guess.

I've been to many parts of Iowa and they all seem pretty dull. Same with Oklahoma.

I'd say generally the flyover states are called that for a reason.

I've done that drive a dozen times or so and yes it's terrible. But right there with it is the drive from DFW to El Paso. Not that I'm putting TX on this list, just long boring drives - maybe that's another thread.

Driving through southern Missouri headed towards Saint Louis is brutal, at least from the surface.

Is a beautiful state. If you are looking for big cities and don't like the outdoors I can see where it might not be your thing though. I'm pretty much the opposite.
