Bees can still win a SB. But he needs a running game. The QBs best friend is a running game. But a coach needs to call running plays first. When Sean decides to call run plays then maybe Brees will get that elusive last SB ring.

Stop man we can't win a Super Bowl with him. Brees' throwing range is severely limited. Defenses are sitting on his passes with no fear of a deep ball. Even if you get him another receiving threat he'll be limited to 10-15 yards.

Well they had a run game they rushed for over 200 yards they didn’t need Tannahill to win the game with his arm

Anybody notice that TV upclose of Brees in the 4th looking at the iPad showing his right thumb taped? He definitely looked like it was bothering him as he tried to move it around.

I asked about this in real time, no one said shite in the game thread.

Something clearly triggered him to start wiggling his thumb like it was aggravated.

Sure looked like something was bothering him. May have been worse than Brees and the Saints let on??

Brees was not the problem yesterday....even on the fumble. Ramczyk was getting owned by Danielle Hunter especially on inside moves. Andrus Peat was getting pushed around. Kamara was getting keyed on and still we kept trying to use him in screens when Murray was getting the job done going straight ahead. Defensively Saints were victims of their own aggressiveness because Cook should never have broken out in the first half like he did. Some one should have been molesting Thielen all game....dude is zone buster with speed. I would gladly take 5 yard defensive holding penalties over 25-30 yard completions.

Brees is done

Physically, this is the same Brees that we've seen for a year and a half now. Nothing has changed.

Brees isn't a liability. He's not. He's just not a guy who can make plays in the face of a great pass rush downfield.

Saints fans need to realize how good it has been. Moving forward, unless we luck into a great QB somehow, EVERY QB we have will, at best, have liabilities that can cost us games.

He was smiling and funning it up with Vikings after the game ended there’s no way drew goes out on that sad note in the Superdome.

No way he's done bc he hasn't had the huge decline (fall off a cliff) year that Peyton did, or that Brady did this season.

Everyone calm down a lil bit ,DB definitely didn't have his best stuff today but if you look at his numbers today, you may not necessarily think he had a bad day but if you dive in and see the amount of completions and his yards per comp. Then you start to see where the problem was ,they played alot of zone got pressure with 4 and it was a drink and dunk game and the saints/especially Brees would have had to be great to overcome the deficiencies that have been a problem in every lose ,offensive protection and a true deep threat or multiple deep threats down field period ! Now I don't think Drew's arm can hold up 16 games and playoffs any more , by the end of the season he struggles ,this year he had that time away and I think that helped , I didn't think they would win the damn division when injury after injury keep coming on both sides of the ball (lines) ,it's very hard for an Nfl team to lose 2 or 3 offensive lineman for several games and to lose the starter of the DLine was very very critical and you just can't get around that , just a couple weeks ago the saints had 3 Offensive lineman out for the game against Tennessee ,but until the saints get back to having a really good receiving core then your doing with smoke and mirrors , there is no Devery Henderson or cook or meachum to blow the top off this defense but still run great routes , Ted gin was fast at one time but he is not that guy any more and he hadn't been for a while , they have to get a true number 2 reciever ,if you have one guy catching 160 passes a year then you got an underlined problem that didn't just pop up today ,you also have to have some resemblance of a running game , to me Kamara should be your second WR or 3rd and give me a good ole powerback with a Clyde helaire back but you have to able to run between the tackles when you have games like this ,you have to have a screen game and be able to make the defense react and adjust to get them out of whatever there doing to stop you ,but number one you have to get some wide recievers on this team, and guess what this is as deep as an true elite WR draft class IV ever seen , But the future has to be with Taysom Hill bc it gives you that dynamic mobile thrower that you have to defend ,the league is heading that direction , you can win like that and I really believe in my heart that Sean Peyton knows that , we got to see a lil bit of that yesterday and he should with out question be the future ,it's a business and that just the facts , I live Drew brees and we as saints fans owe him the respect and admiration for sticking with the saints for all these years but you have a chance (saints organization)here to make a transition into the future , personally I would trade Kamara while he still has 1st round trade value and I would sign Taysom to a longer contract if Drew brees retires or they make the decision not to sign Brees but you really have to wonder can they or will they be able to pull a Bill Bellicheck type move ??? Maybe Taysom has 2 or 3 years left on his deal I'm not sure but he has to get more reps and whole drives getting him more prepared to give Bread Arm time to rest during the year and it would also really make the defense have to game plan for it , that going in there for one play and running 99% of the time is bull shite . Taysom Hill has a way way stronger Arm than Drew does right now and I would venture to say his arm has never been as strong as Taysoms , Taysom had an acuracy issue that I think is way better now that he's been here and understsnds the offense but he still runs like a freakn deer and with power and great speed that I think he would take the league by storm ,I truly believe that in my brain , we have the next great dual threat QB but can bust you in the mouth with his physical style right now right here on the roster waiting to be un leashed !

I’d say Brees is just about done mainly becuz of his arm strength...but when you have ONE RECEIVER set an NFL record for most catches EVER in NFL HISTORY it kind of dictates that you need to seek help in the Receiver position.. your next best Wide receiver Ted Ginn had 30 receptions to Michael Thomas’s 149 receptions going into todays game...that’s a terrible ratio between receivers... the Saints have had this problem for 3 years but still failed to correct it...

Bingo

In the past, Brees could make WRs look like stars, but now as Brees' physical talents decline he needs better WRs to help get more open.

Also Kamara also started playing scared after his injury and didn't fight for extra yards like he did his rookie year removing the second biggest threat we have

Brees is Trent Dilfer. If you don't have a great defense and a great run game in the playoffs, you are gonna get more of these games.

you really saw the drop off of brees in the playoffs starting last year into this year. he can no longer carry teams like he did 2017 and before.
