Don't kill the messenger. You'll see this referenced again and again.
quote:

SAN DIEGO —Smuggling gangs in Mexico have repeatedly sawed through new sections of President Trump’s border wall in recent months by using commercially available power tools, opening gaps large enough for people and drug loads to pass through, according to U.S. agents and officials with knowledge of the damage.

The breaches have been made using a popular cordless household tool known as a reciprocating saw that retails at hardware stores for as little as $100. When fitted with specialized blades, the saws can slice through one of the barrier’s steel-and-concrete bollards in minutes, according to the agents, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the barrier-defeating techniques.

Nobody said the wall was going to be perfect. The entire point is that it reduces illegal immigration.

Using such insane logic, we should have no prisons because people escape every once in a while

We should have no bank guards because they fail every so often

Offenses should never kick field goals because there are occasional misses

What matters is what happens ON NET

Agree with CNN. The wall isnt enough. Our border should be militarized.

Thank you CNN for shining a spotlight on our porous border..

In recent news a car with an alarm was stolen. Therefore there is no reason or purpose for any cars to come with alarms or even keys anymore.

We need more than a wall. A 5 mile wide military district south of the border. Joint patrolled with US and Mexican military forces. No civilian activity within the military district. Border towns relocated outside the district.

The damn solution stares us in the face.

It is slowing them down and bottlenecking them for sure. Where they do this increase patrols and observation, and bust the bastards doing it.

sounds made up. It would take a hell of a lot longer than a few minutes to cut through that much steel with a cordless sawzall

Minimally, he's admitting that smugglers are crossing the southern border.

My President promised to build a wall to protect me. It’s a 30 ft wall. If they are sawing through the big beautiful wall.. we have to take action. Send the military down there and start shooting the muthafrickas. We have to do this now.

Agreed. If you pull up on the other side of the wall with a generator truck and an hour or two maybe, but a cordless Sawzall and a few quick minutes? BS.

Yep. This sounds made up. You'd run through a pack of sawz all blades in 3 minutes and still not have much cut.

Steel AND concrete. The article references concrete too. Pretty sure those steel tubes are filled with concrete

Homes get broken into therefore we need no door locks or window locks.

Safes and vaults get broken into, do away with those too!

Banks get robbed, no more banks!

Women get raped therefore no more panties...mmmm, lemme rethink that one.

Yes, I agree with the wall. I also want a 5 mile wide military district south of the border, as I have described. It will be the most effectively controlled border in the entire world, and will actually improve relations with the Mexican govt, as we assist them in stabilizing legit govt and destroying cartel operations and personnel.

But where on earth will we get the troops to clean out the cartel border-town strongholds, along with help from our Mexican military and police paramilitary partners?

...Oh I know, bring our boys home from a LOT of places to defend OUR ACTUAL DAMN BORDERS FOR CHRIST'S SAKE.

This is such a worthless story. The sections of border wall that have existed for decades are regularly breached. It is something that will be true of whatever we build at the border.

It is a deterrent, not a magical force field.

The Korean DMZ is not magically breached.

We can replicate that strategy easily, and have incredible success with a FRIENDLY border partner to help.
