Reading the sticky thread, seems like some of you aren't familiar with the "Run Hide Fight" mantra of an active shooter situation.

Here is the link to a video that made it popular. Lots of workplaces, companies, etc show this video now.

WARNING: The video is graphic.

Video needs a CCW carrier in it.

Oh, but having the security guard standing around drinking coffee is legit.

Exactly.

The order would be reversed.

So the advice is: Because our anti-gun policies have made you lambs ready for slaughter, here's what you should do because of our shortsightedness.

If you look, when the intruder opens the front door, there is some language about guns on the door. It happens so fast I can't tell what it is, but I assumed it was the building saying no weapons allowed.

I love the arrogant ignorance of all the twitter replies that had no idea that this was the accepted advice of trained experts.

Yep. This video is an example of how not to be secure in the workplace.

Hell, they even show a guy attempting to use his belt for self defense against an armed intruder.

You want oblivious? I carried a large fixed blade buck knife in a belt holster the entire time I was at LSU. No one ever said a word.

I mean... fighting makes no sense as an option if you're a certain distance away from an attacker with the gun. As you rush to close the ground he'll just shoot you dead. Within a certain distance, however, it absolutely makes sense to charge the person because the chances of you disarming are greater than getting away without being shot in the back.

Twitter is bashing LSU for using the verbiage... run hide fight. Like they were in the wrong for trying to alert people. Bunch of idiots

We got the old Run, hide or fight lecture the other day in our corporate office. They brought some professional security guy that went way overboard. He was telling us shite like he never sits in public space without an exit plan. And he always has to be facing the door so he can access each individual walking in as a threat or not
