Yes. Kia has been trying to break the stigma by offering a longer and better warranty. They’re standing behind their products to entice people to buy their vehicles so that customers can see for themselves that the brand has come a long way.

They feel people would love their vehicles if they gave them a chance.

My parents bought a Kia Sorento a couple years ago. It’s a really nice vehicle. Consumer Reports rated it highly as well.

That's a great point and I had no idea Kia offered 10 year, 100,000 mile warranties.

Hyundai and Kia have had 10/100 warranties for quite some time. Note that is the powertrain warranty and the rest of the car is covered by a 5/60 warranty.

The Koreans "had" to go to a long warranty to suggest reliability. Honda and Toyota stuck with a shorter warranty because they didn't have to convince anyone of their reliability. Toyota and Honda both now have 3/36 basic warranty and 5/60 drivetrain.

Telluride Warranty
Kia covers the 2020 Telluride with a five-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a lengthy 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

So bumper to bumper is 5yr/60K miles.

2015 sorento here and it is great as well, no issues 75 k miles now. Def like the look of the telluride and would consider it in the future.

Ps in laws have a Mercedes suv and it’s not nearly as smooth of ride and I would even say our interior looks superior as well.

My wife drove a 2004 Kia Minivan.

I liked the van. Everything worked.

Mile 1 to mile 180,000 which came in 2015 the Kia was great and extremely reliable.

Mile 180,000 - 190,000 it fell apart and in 2016 we got another van.

I would definitely buy another Kia.

Wife has a Kia minivan and its been great. We got 2 years ago with 30k miles and she’s pushing 110k. Also have a couple friends that bought their kids Kia sedans and both have been zero problem.

I do my own maintenance on my 2008 Kia Optima. It has 130k miles and runs fine.

If you get a Kia, I recommend checking the factory’s transmission and coolant fluids at appropriate mileage intervals (check your car manual for intervals).

Compared to my Toyota vehicle, the quality of Kia trans and coolant fluid are average.

Overall, not a bad car for the price.

You can usually do a pretty cheap extended warranty to up to 10/100. That is what I did on our Hyundai because of the electronics amd infotaintment. Cost me $700 to bump $25k car to 10/100 bumper to bumper.

Im interested in seeing what they will price the Telluride/Palisades extended warranty.

How are the dealers? Ready to handle people dropping $40k? One criticism has always been the dealers used to catering to people with a 550 FICO.

Yes, they have. But you shouldn't buy that unless you live in Korea. Buy something made here. And Kia's and Hyundai's are assembled here, of mostly foreign parts. They're not really 'made' here.

My ex’s first car was 2003 Rio put over 150k miles on it in the ten years until it was flooded out due to negligence. Solid car and it was a cheap version.

Hyundai and Kia are the same thing.

As far as reliability, they are much better than MINI, Fiat, Dodge or Ford. They are about on par with Nissan, VW, Mazda, or Chevrolet. They are way behind Toyota or Honda.

Your results with vary. I’ve had family members with an atrociously bad Genesis. Some friends also had great look with a Kia Optima.

I like the Hyundai Palisade better.

I also think that Hyundai is more reliable.
