If only they would make the KIA logo less kia-e and not as distinguishable lol
The Kia badges they use in Korea are different. You can buy them online and change them out if you want:

How far did they have to go?

Kia has been a solid company for a while now.

Indeed

I've always assumed Kia/Hyundai were very reliable, and like most people I just didn't want to drive a Kia for one reason in particular - vanity.

Honestly, I kind of assumed they were probably more reliable than cheap/low tier American cars.

I’ve had two optimas, a 2010 and a 2015. Put 130k miles on the 2010 before I traded it in and was up to 90k on the 2015 before I traded that one in. Never ever a single issue. Def great vehicles.

It's a shitty brand. He is asking about reliability. How many reliable older model Kia's do you see driving around? Kia is not a very reliable brand.

It's not like the roads are filled with Chevy Cobalts or Ford Fiestas either. They made cheap, disposable cars and are now making better looking and higher priced cars.

As a 40yo male, Kia was introduced to me as the low cost/high volume provider of cars that will last about 3 years and then fall apart.

You will have a hard time convincing me that a brand which once advertised a "Buy one Optima, get a Sephia free" event is capable of producing quality automobiles
Would it change your mind if they hired people over from Audi, BMW, Mercedes, etc? Because that’s what they did and they totally revamped their brand.

Better looking and higher prices don't equate to better quality, though. I'm wondering if they're quality vehicles now because 10-15 years ago I thought of Kia vehicles as though they were bought from Dollar General.

Wife has had a kia forte since 2012. No major problems so far. Only had to change out a few window switches.

this is great. The above post is why it's so cheap. We were looking to purchase an SUV next year and now the Telluride is the front runner for us. Bang for your buck. Also 10 yr, 100k warranty... Yes please

They are guaranteeing free work for 10 fricking years. These other brands you think so highly of might give you 5, most just 3.

So why wouldn't these other brands stand by their vehicles for much longer than the break in period?

That's a great point and I had no idea Kia offered 10 year, 100,000 mile warranties.

Yes, it it. Why I think you should pull the trigger. You won't have to worry about replacing it in 5 years unless your wife just wants another vehicle by then.

I know people think Kia and hyundai are shite, they were just pretty basic for a long time, but they will last and have come a long way in the looks department.

Legit interested once the vehicle is in it's 2nd or 3rd year of production.

I got a 2017 Kia Sorento in July of 2016. It’s been great and I have had zero problems whatsoever.
