Yeah, it's a lot of fun going out at 5:30 in the morning to wade through knee deep water to move my car up in the driveway.

In Metairie by the lake and we have street flooding. The ole lady’s a doctor and had a shift today. I was planning on going to pick up her Mother’s Day present this morning but now neither one of us are going anywhere. Gonna have to pull a rabbit out of my arse on this one

My shed has about 4” of water in it so now I’m putting on waders to go raise shite.

In Mandeville and woke up to more water than I've ever seen standing in my yard. It's freaking pouring right now.

Had to be at the airport at 5:15am. Interstate getting on at Bonnabel had a solid foot of water on it. All of the damn planes were diverted too

So we are supposed to have Mother’s Day at our house today at 11:30.

Street is completely flooded up to the sidewalk.

Wonderful.

Hearing a lot of people's cars flooded in Nola. Water was standing for a few hours but suddenly drained within minutes. The dumb fricks at the S&WB obviously didn't turn the pumps on.

Why do people continue to trust NOLA or JP government to keep their property dry?

So glad we left New Orleans. Our cars are dry and our pumps are working. What a show.

The drainage system in the city just wasn't designed to handle climate change.

Buddy of mine in da parish is a NWS meterologist, he has a sweet weather system setup at his house.

From 505 am - 600 am - 55 min - his system recorded 5.67 inches of rain.

That's biblical, end-times shite right there.
