I can't believe people would give up their voice willingly

Might as well get rid of the concepts of states and let the Federal government control everything. Apparently these people don't get the importance of the EC.

The dumbing down of America is finally paying dividends. Unfortunately..

Has Trump brain-fricked the country that bad?

The people who are supporting this are utter fools. They are willingly surrendering their vote and voice and that is retarded as hell.
God I will laugh so hard at the fools if Trump wins the popular vote yet lost in their state. I bet they would do some serious backpedaling then

This has a civil disaster written all over it. Just imagine if Trump wins the popular vote in 2020

New Mexico should be one of the last states to want to give up its (slight) advantage in Presidential elections via the EC.
States with smaller populations is exactly who the founding fathers were protecting with the EC in Presidential elections.

I can’t wait for Trump to win popular vote and dem to candidate to win EC...except for the fact that these Cuck states recently changed their laws so Trump still wins!!!

You know they’d rescind the law between election night and the meeting of their EC voters.

You obviously haven't been paying attention the last 20 to 30 years or so. Trump had no part in this.

I hope all States get illegals, dead people, and homeless voting D for a cig, cleaned out of voting rolls; and Trump wins the popular vote

If I'm reading this right, this law doesn't actually go in to effect unless enough states pass it form a majority of the electoral college.

Blue state, don’t care. They need red states to get to 270

This is unconstitutional and is specifically stated out in the constitution. This is "for show" to feed their idiot left wing base.

How does the current system represent the people’s voice better?
Wouldn’t a national vote lead to the following:
People’s voices counting the same
Candidates campaigning in non-swing states
How does the current system more accurately represents the people’s voice?

In 2016 Trump won 60% of the states and nearly 70% of the voting districts.
If you want a few big states dictating who serves in the white house while everyone in the country is neutered then the popular vote is for you.
