So Duke,UNC, UK, Syracuse, are squeaky clean and don’t make deals? Right? Only one difference our coach was dumb enough to get caught on tape. Oh and our dumbass admin absolutely knows the whole storyline.

Corroborated Testimony under oath subject to the rule and penalty of law that Wade committed a crime.

I don’t think the FBI cares about LSU. The NCAA does, and what the feds uncover about Wade while Investigating Dawkins will be used against Wade and LSU.
Wade and his legal team are trying to keep him from having to perjure himself under oath, protect his $9 million guaranteed contract, and salvage a promising basketball career that has another 30 years or so left. Which they should.
Alexander and his team—which you can bet is made of up of a several university attorneys—are trying to protect the university and its brand. Alleva has no power in this and is just falling on the PR sword. Perhaps he and LSU really ARE protecting Wade. Maybe Wade’s attorneys and LSU’s are in this together, and came up with this themselves. Ask Wade to answer questions they know he can’t answer and they protect LSU, while giving Wade an excuse to not talk “based on advice from counsel.” That gives him cover. Joe may just be wearing the PR hit for the good of al. We don’t know enough about any of the conversations that have gone down.
Wade and his lawyers may be in cahoots with LSU and theirs. Who the frick knows.

So, if I hear you correctly, adidas giving millions to the university and players is somehow a federal crime and the university a victim?
This is exactly how the prosecution is arguing their case. The trial is against Adidas. Not the universities.

I never said that, I posted a actual indictment which details what made Dawkins' activity a federal crime, why the NCAA rules are actually involved in creating the indictment, and what actually constitutes a violation of NCAA rules.

And 50 schools are implicated including Duke, Kansas, Auburn, S. Carolina, Alabama, etc. So let's just crucify Wade and LSU.

what prohibited services were offered?
Still waiting for this answer.

It is explained in plain English in the federal indictment I posted, just read it and you will become one of maybe 5 people on this board that actually understands the issues. But just to be nice, here is a cliff note. The universities are offering scholarships to players who they believe to be eligible to play. Having accepted deals made possible by Dawkins, Gatto, Coaches etc, the players are no longer eligble to play, and are receiving scholarships through fraud.
OR, we understand perfectly well. We just think it's laughable that universities are apparently willing to try to pretend they are oblivious to what's going on and not be seen for the knowing enablers that they are.

How in the hell did you infer that the OP was making that claim?

You have to understand that most fans are all in. It doesn’t matter if Wade came out amd confessed to paying half the team. The “everybody does it” defense would cover that easily.

Exactly! Nobody gave a shite about LSU basketball until the tapes were leaked. He just happened to get caught bc of the wiretap for Dawkins. It sucks for LSU and the athletic department, but like I said, if WW goes down then all the other coaches involved should, too. I hate it for LSU, but it’s hard to ignore what really happened and what that phone call was about.

Don't know what Wade did or did not do, never said I did, I just offered clarification to every one that says if no money changed hands its no problem, according to the NCAA and "offer" of prohibited compensation is a violation. Some one else can debate what Wade offered.

Yes, its super important, offers of what?

I don't think you get how implications vs. actual evidence works.
We all know what was implied by what Coach Wade said, but you need more evidence that what he offered was in fact a violation in order to really make it stick
Posted on 3/10/19 at 7:20 pm to EA6B
Dude. Nobody is denying that this shite goes on. You’d have to be a complete idiot to believe these top athletes ain’t gettin paid.
The reason people are angry is that as far as any NCAA violation goes, they got no proof. His conversation on the phone ain’t proof, otherwise Ole Miss would have been nailed for what Tunsil said on national TV at the NFL draft. They didn’t get shut for Tunsil getting paid. Why? Because they couldn’t actually prove it.

Anyone think there will be one coming against Nike?
Shouldn’t it had come out already, an indictment
