Look, if people want the sport to be clean, AND have a legit discussion.........well

Why is UNC allowed to field a team?

Why is KU allowed, ON WIRE TAP, allowed to offer housing, cash, and jobs for Zion? And WHY, does no one suppose Duke upped the offer?

WTF are we talking about? Cal has had 2 FINAL FOURS vacated!!!! Are you telling me he learned his lesson??

JFC. This entire thing is garbage. And shame on anyone who is piling on Wade for this. Nothing but shite trolls.

I give no fricks based on how this shite goes. We fricking won on the court and off it.

Go frick all you dipshits

All that indictment does is highlight how utterly ridiculous the US Code is. The federal government, who was never supposed to be in the police business, has literally hundreds of thousands if not millions of pages of statutes and regulations purporting to exercise power over citizens of the states. Any person in America could be prosecuted for some violation of a federal statute or regulation. Don’t take my word for it. Rudy Giuliani said the same thing although I don’t he was actually criticizing it.

Also, Khuzami, the US attorney who filed this, has been in and out of government and private positions over the course of his career. I’m sure he didn’t use his influence and connections with the government to benefit his private clients, right?

our fan base would be going insane if this were another SEC school.

Because no other sec school would suspend their coach in the midst of an article in yahoo sports the day before an sec championship win when all of this has been known all along.

How is LSU getting crushed?

So far, Wade has been suspended by the University and Smart did not play in 1 game. Both decisions made in house.

Everyone just needs to wait to see how this plays out.

The "yes, but they are doing it too" defense is dumb and makes us look bad.

Lsu had no choice but to protect themselves (not saying I agree with the decision). Unfortunately, this is a business and any inklings of wrongdoing is going to be on the coach and player involved. People can spin it how they want, but right now, without any parties talking, it looks bad for LSU. Hopefully, it will get cleared up, but I have my doubts.

Ooooo. what a cool gotcha....None of that matters if it is selectively enforced.

In order to compete you've got to pay talent to come to your University. This is a reality which has come to exist due to decades of cultivation. It's not like Wade started the whole idea.

Wade got personally involved. Good coaches separate themselves from the dirty work

This is BS. Never before has a damn person caught accepting money or paying or offering has been charged by the FBI and taken to court. Did Chris Webber go to trial or get arrested or even charged by the FBI? NO! Did Reggie Bush get charged or arrested by the FBI? Again, no! So none of the people caught cheating before have been charged and convicted and now it's suddenly illegal? Sounds like more BS from the Media trying to put a damper on us experiencing winning.

He played the underground recruiting game that all the top college basketball programs play, and he got caught, indirectly through an FBI sting.

And if he goes down then the entire college basketball system needs to go down.

So your theory is that the FBI has evidence that Will Wade committed a crime by paying a player and yet, despite pursuing far weaker cases against bagmen, is not interested in prosecuting him?

And you are calling other people "fool"?

All that indictment says is more government over reach bullshite.

It says they defrauded colleges by make players ineligible.

That’s it

1. They don’t represent shite. This is on the player and his parents if you want to say someone lied to the school. You can’t say handlers lied because the taps show that if they happen to talk to a coach they were straight upfront about the player wanting money.

2. NO LAW was broken by adidas or these two dudes. They paid for a service. Fine. Why do they have to report to the NCAA? So how can covering up or obfuscating NO LAW BEING BROKEN be a federal crime?

But but officer there were three other cars speeding with me, this is an injustice!

Everyone may “know” that UNC/Duke etc buy players but until you get me an audio tape of Coach K caught like WW, then it’s just an accusation. We got caught, indirectly, but we got caught. It sucks, but it’s our reality. When the FBI finishes this will be an NCAA issue and we will get hammered.
