1. Southwest’s entire fleet is composed of 737s, so it’s not surprising that you are scheduled to fly on a 737
2. LINK this link may or may not be helpful in this post. Fixed from insinuating the wrong thing.
3 The 737 is the most successful aircraft in history with 10,000 planes delivered. LINK
4. These last two crashes are still both under investigation and most information out there is speculative
5. Even if they end up grounding the 737 MAX planes to address the MCAS issue, there are still thousands of older generation 737s that will remain in service
6. There are so many factors that play into travel that the meaning behind your travel alert could be anything.
7. Air travel is the safest form of travel LINK

Hopefully, this makes you feel better.

Most likely it's a generic warning that your flight can be canceled at any time due to Southwest's ongoing maintenance issue with the mechanics union striking but not striking.

I've had 2 Southwest flights canceled in the past 2 weeks.

But don't small planes crash much more often?

Boeing is in an immense crisis. To witness such division between airline/country regulators + the manufacturer is unprecedented, and unusual. It demonstrates how genuinely concerned airlines are –regardless of what the FAA said – surrounding the safety of #737MAX jets. #ET302

It's a little telling that it's difficult to tell what's real with him because nothing surprises, no matter how absurd.

It's a real tweet: LINK

I'm not sure what Boeing expected here. Honestly their CEO and leadership has screwed the pooch here by sitting on their arse and not making some announcements. Maybe its just incredibly bad timing with two pilot error issues, but that may be partly to blame on them too if so.

I'm not sure they need to be banned over a countries air space, but Boeing should have been out front of this and seen the over reaction coming.

There's also a political angle to this, especially in Europe. UK, Germany, France, and Spain are the major players in Airbus with massive government subsidies.

UK and Germany have banned the 737 MAX from their airspaces.
