Only scenario where Mexico scores 5 and US doesn’t advance is if the game goes to extra innings tied 4-4 and Mexico wins in a walk off in the 11th inning or later.

I think even a walk-off wouldn’t matter. Italy would only record 26 outs in a best case scenario still leaving them 1 short of the US. Pretty sure if Mexico scores 5, US gets through.

Or extra innings, which would get really fricky

Mexico is home tomorrow, so if they win Italy will only record 24 outs leaving them with 3 less outs recorded than the US. US would advance based on a lower runs allowed vs outs recorded ratio.

Scary looking debris signature on that one after it came through Troy. Local weather guys just let out an audible gasp when it came up on radar.

Sounds like it dropped down around Lakewinds golf course. Damage around Camp ASCCA and Horshoe Bend. Luckily not many folks live up that way. Looked nasty on radar for about 10-15 minutes.

Passed probably 10 miles to my north. Got a little uncomfortable for a second.

Sitting here at Lake Martin near Dadeville wishing I would have stayed in BHM. How much longer am I going to be sweating out whether the stuff west of us comes our way?

Can’t happen. Top 4 SEC teams must be in separate regions.

I've started thinking about getting sweet 16 tickets in Atlanta. Looks like it's sessioned and I'd need to buy both to guarantee anything? Has anyone bought tickets yet?
I bought mine a couple of weeks ago. You can either buy tickets for Friday (2 games), Sunday (1 game) or buy all 3 games as a package. There are no single game tickets for Friday as far as I’m aware.

The first four teams from the same conference are placed in different regions when they are among the top four seed lines.
Teams from the same conference cannot meet before the Elite Eight if they played each other three or more times.
When possible, rematches from the previous year’s tournament are avoided in the First Four and first round.

Looks like it is actually a rule if the top four teams from a conference are seeded as a #4 or better.

I've read people say that the top 4 SEC have to be in separate regions, which would flip Michigan St. and Tennessee in this scenario. I don't know if that's an actual rule though.

Eh, it’s a little confusing. There is a 31L and a 31C but not a 31R. 31L is tiny runway that looks like a taxiway if you’re using 4L to taxi. Still a massive frick up but I can see how it could happen if you’re task saturated and having a bad day.
Midway is actually even more confusing than that. The runways in that section are 31L, 31C, 31R if landing from the south and 13L, 13C, 13R if landing from the north. Therefore, 31L and 13L are on opposite sides of 31/13C. I could see a scenario where the PJ pilot heard to cross 31L and read it in his head as to cross 13L. Still, not holding short of 31C is a massive frick up.

You like Duke because they’ve been blowing out teams? You realize Arkansas would be one of the toughest 2 or 3 games Duke has played since December?

Overrated implies that there are other teams that should be ranked ahead of them. By any objective measure, that’s just simply not the case. That’s the biggest problem with your opinion
Will I get screwed by the ESPN playoff tiebreaker?
Posted by wareagle47 on 12/9/24 at 8:11 pm
Looks like my league will end in a four way tie for the last playoff spot. I’m 4-0 against the three teams I will be tied with, but have scored the least amount of points amongst that group on the season.
The way I interpret the rules on the ESPN site is that the H2H tie breaker is invalid if the teams have played an uneven number of games against one another and it goes to total points scored instead. Two of the teams I’m tied with have played 5 games against the tied group while my team and another have only played 4.
Seems like an odd thing to throw into the tiebreaker scenarios. Not sure why it’s not just win %, but I’m thinking I’m going to catch the short end of the stick here. Anyone else experience this?

Great write up. Glad to hear the weather was pretty good other than the fog. Our group will be there this time next year.

If Torres gets on, do you walk Soto to get to Judge?
