Gave me the same, I'm a Lafayette boy, so seems pretty sound given the likelihood Lafayette isn't a city they list.

Mine said Little Rock, Arlington and Irving. I’m from Little Rock and I spent quite a bit of time in DFW growing up. I’ve noticed that the suburban Dallas accent is basically indistinguishable from the Central Arkansas accent. They’re much closer than Little Rock and Fayetteville IMO.

Montgomery AL, Columbus GA, Louisville KY.

Weird - I have been to Louisville maybe twice in my whole life and haven't lived in the South in 20 years.

That's crazy. It got Baton Rouge and Lincoln, NE where my mom's from (hence the terms I got from her).

Hmm... nails it actually. This is as impressive as the election results they post down to the precinct too. Only two things from NYT that ever impressed me

ETA
Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Jackson. Live smack dab in the middle of that triangle

Portland, Seattle, Overland Park, Kansas

Grew up in Portland, so PNW was spot in. Never been to Kansas City, but my family is from St Louis so maybe picked up some local colloquialisms

Potato Bug nails everyone from the northwest.

For someone who knows, what's the strip between the sidewalk and the road called? Just Curious.

TIL that almost nobody says "soft drink"....

I thought that was what everyone said, except for tiny pockets of "soda", "pop", "coke", etc.

The entire map was blue, but Louisiana and a few other areas were just slightly less blue

That's what I call them.

I know there is the idea that southerners say 'coke' as a catch-all term but I've never heard that happen.

If you tell a waitress you want a coke, they aren't going to ask what kind. They're going to get you a damn Coke.
