Do you guys think emery and Davis come in as 1&2 on depth chart? Where do you see guys like curry and provens fitting in?

I would be hard pressed to not start both of those freshman studs over the rest.

It will be back to the way it should be where there's a 1A, 2A, and B where 3 guys will get plenty of carries. CEH will still get plenty of touches, but those two guys (Emery being the horse) splitting the most imo.

Curry and Provens both got redshirts. I'd be surprised if they both stick around. Whoever does will be in a fight for playing time.

Considering what happened this year, its not a bad problem for LSU to have.

Pretty sure Clyde will start off as the #1 back next year. Emery might be the starter by the middle of the season though. That dude is electric. Fournette didn't even start off as the #1 back his freshman season but by the middle of the season he was. I think it'll go kind of similar to that with the other guys like Curry being mixed in here and there.

Emery and Davis are going to play a lot next year. Davis is the load back, CEH change of pace, and Emery the home run threat.

I dont see Curry or Provens playing too much. curry maybe 30-ish carries, Provens barely any.

It'll depend on how quickly they pick up the new offensive coordinator's system. I mean, did Leonard Fournette tear it up with 100 yard games to start off his college career? No. Clyde EH will start due to his experience, but being a starter is not as critical since I'm sure the OC will want to have a rotation of running backs.

I think you'll see the young guys phased in as they pick up the protection schemes

Are either of them projected to enroll in the spring?

I think CEH starts out the year at #1. But that will probably change after a couple of games.

I haven't watched any highlights of Davis, but Emery should be starting by mid season at the latest. That kid is gifted.

I think CEH's days are numbered at RB. He just doesn't have the speed or vision to be a great back.
Of all these guys, the one who has talents that are a little unique may be Provens.
Provided they all know their assignments and are roughly equal at blocking, I cannot think of a play where I would prefer Curry or CEH to Davis or Emery next year. Provens is a little different...

It will be Emery CEH and Curry. I bet Davis gets redshirted. Curry is a hell of a rb, some of you have seemed to forgotten.

Emory will start Day vs Texas, clyde will get his carries, Tyrion will get some as well... Curry will benefit if he stays honestly, he would be the spread back honestly, runs hard but has to have an open lane, there was nothing there everytime he touched the ball this year... Tae should either switch positions or transfer... dont think he ever was a RB... should try KR or inside WR

I think it will be hard to keep Emery and Davis off the field. I like Clyde, but those two guys will be just as good if not better than him.

Emery seems like the kind of guy that can play a role similar to kamara with the saints

it's just ensminger's scheme that will prevent this

Clyde will start off as the starter
Emery is going to likely start as a 2nd option
Curry or Ty Davis will emerge as our bruiser/short yardage back

Reminds me of 2014

Clyde will start like how Magee started

Emery will get touches like how Fournette got touches

Curry and Ty Davis will battle for the bruiser role like how Hilliard and Darrell williams battled

It's rare for freshmen to come in able to handle the grind of the SEC. It requires a physical maturity that most don't have a few months out of high school.

LF had an NFL body when he got here and it took him a while to get going.

Brossette and CEH have gotten 96% of the carries from our RBs

NB4 56%
CEH 40%

Next year I see

CEH 60%
Curry/Emery/Davis will fight for the rest

We've been lucky not to have any injuries this year at RB. We also don't have a legit 3rd guy to give carries to if we wanted to.

Provens, i could see moving to DB. There was talks of that when he signed. But i do think they have a specific use for him on offense if they want to keep him there.
