No. I’m saying Davis’s atty’s interest is the defense of Davis not the truth.

Who is paying this girl off? For a backup WR who has a total of 4 career catches? You watch too much tv.

I can't believe he actually ran this story. I'm going to beat his arse when he gets home.

If Rabalais is so outraged why didn't he point his pen toward all those who did in fact actually get convicted of abuse. The finger should be pointed at Rabalais for failing to address the problem. He has the power of the pen. He avoided dealing with the abuse issue, which he could have addressed in a story himself.

You don't need payoffs for an accuser to recant because she feels bad for him once law enforcement gets involved.

So stupid. Do we really need to be told that domestic violence is wrong? And so many people on here hate O so much that they'd probably hit their wives if O said not to.

It’s not it O’s job to “denounce” domestic violence
This is a pretty weak position to take. Sure, Orgeron's contract probably doesn't contain a clause explicitly stating he condemn domestic violence. At the same time, though, how easy would it have been for him to say "no comment" specifically about Davis' situation and add something like "domestic violence in all its forms is absolutely unacceptable"?

.. I know for a fact they all knew about the Orgeron-Canada physical altercation last year, but not a single one reported on it or even asked Orgeron/Canada/Alleva about it.

So you agree that calling people naive for not thinking a payoff occurred is idiotic?

Rabalais has been a pretty shitty writer the last couple of weeks.

I’m asking this seriously...does retracting your statement mean it’s not true? Can’t they still move forward with charges if there is evidence of something happening? She could have made it up and be a crazy cleat chaser or Drake could be a bit of a pos that hits women. She could have been offered money or some other persuasion to retract. Women retracting statements doesn’t automatically mean it was false.
They make accusations against "Athlete Gods" completely disappear.
Victims (And their relatives) are paid off handsomely to retract and shut up. That's how it works. Anybody that doesn't think this happen is delusional.
LSU just happens to have an extremely effective (Like Bama) Team Clean Sweep.
Sweep it Clean. Make it Disappear. Protect the Gods.

If you’re willing to get paid off that’s your prerogative.

But now the GF has recanted her accusations. There is no way to prove what may or may not have happened. If there was any such thing as a justice system, the player would be reinstated immediately.

Nobody is paying anyone off for a backup WR with 4 career catches.

O did handle this properly. Proper due process and if all is cleared Drake can rejoin the team. Rabalais just want to be the chiite stirrer and give Guillebeau a run for his money for being knows as the shock jock/debbie downer of La. media.
They look to Finebaum for inspiration. If a no-talented POS redneck Mfer like Paul can do it by using Jerry Springer type mentality to sports coverage and occasionally kiss the ring of Sab(t)an while at it then so can they in their minds.

actually thought Rabalais was a bit too harsh on Orgeron for this and I really like his articles for the most part. He even explained in his article what "protect the team" meant by not doing anything dumb to jeopardize yourself and putting the team in danger.
How was Rabalais too harsh? O thinks our players need to think about not hurting the football team to motivate them not to beat the crap out of innocent women? The motivating factor should be that hurting innocent people is wrong. If that’s not enough to motivate them then they’re a ticking time bomb to do something stupid and hurt somebody
