Kudos go out to LSU's PR Dept., for not coaching up O on exactly what to say (or not to say). Esp. taking into account his "experience" with the subject matter at hand.

Surprised the soft br media would question O on this.

The media don’t want to actually ask hard questions about on the field shite.

Also his article looks stupid now that he allegations were false.

You think these egomaniacs (coaches) are going to always do what the PR dept. says? . You can tell them to do something but they’re going to do what they want almost every single time.

I hate Advocate articles, not because of the content, but because my iPhone has troubles pulling up their articles that include 152 different digital ads/videos and links to other articles

I actually thought Rabalais was a bit too harsh on Orgeron for this and I really like his articles for the most part. He even explained in his article what "protect the team" meant by not doing anything dumb to jeopardize yourself and putting the team in danger.

I actually took more away from the fact that he brought people in to talk to the team about domestic abuse and treating women the right way. I figured he had done something like that and is why I wasn't faulting him when the Davis news came out.

He meant address domestic violence in general.

They are definitely soft... I know for a fact they all knew about the Orgeron-Canada physical altercation last year, but not a single one reported on it or even asked Orgeron/Canada/Alleva about it.

Yep, but Scott just wants to get his pitch fork out.

Nothing wrong with the way LSU handled this. You suspended him for now, bring him back once it settles down and play him until convicted.

In this case he should be back at practice Monday since she retracted and we just move along.

They won’t dare question alleva and O.

Which is a shame we don’t have a real oc because with Derick on staff the media won’t dare pipe up if we ran an 80s style U program as long as we were winning.

I’m asking this seriously...does retracting your statement mean it’s not true? Can’t they still move forward with charges if there is evidence of something happening? She could have made it up and be a crazy cleat chaser or Drake could be a bit of a pos that hits women. She could have been offered money or some other persuasion to retract. Women retracting statements doesn’t automatically mean it was false. Just saying. Anyone here know Drake personally? Know his reputation? What a terrible position to be put in if he did nothing wrong. Just one of the most slanderous things you can label someone with. Hope it’s not true

i know what he meant. but O addressing it just puts a bigger spotlight on drake. which may or may not be deserving. its a reach by scott and his opinion on this isnt needed IMO

Could they move on? Yes they could but good luck beating a LSU provided defense attorney when she won’t particpate. A good lawyer would shred any other witness.

Also you have to take into account DAs don’t want to lose their conviction rate so this will go away shortly.

For LSU football purposes a retraction should be treated as it was all false, rather we paid her or not.

O handled this properly. The player is suspended. It is a legal matter. O does not report to Rabalais - and Rabalais has not had one good thing to say about this program so far this year.

Rabalais is trying to make a story out of the fact that O would not give him a story to write about by answering questions. This is not an urban meyer situation. The department handled it properly and the last thing we need is a salty journalist trying to create more distractions for this program.

Scott will retract once TigerRee and O tell him the catering after pressers isn’t for him.

Agree with this. O went out of his way with the team to make players realize what an issue this is.

In addition, you don't just start hammering your players until the facts are in. This women recanted her story before Rabalais' article was in print.
