From their Facebook:

Response to One Baton Rouge / Richardson "Study"

The "study" released on Monday by One Baton Rouge and Dr. Richardson is pure propaganda from the Broome Administration and completely contradicts their previous study which claims we would have a massive surplus. This confirms our earlier statement that the powers-that-be in this city will do or say anything to try and stop this movement from becoming a reality.

What the major media outlets failed to tell you about this "study" is the group that commissioned it, One Baton Rouge, is run by Sharon Weston Broome's political consultant. This probably should have been pointed out. Not to mention that a board member of One Baton Rouge is a prominent figure with Together Baton Rogue... You see, the mayor and elites in Baton Rouge think you're stupid and will blindly accept anything they claim to be true, no matter how absurd. If this doesn't make you want to sign the petition, we don't know what will.

Unfortunately this is probably true of (at least) ~60-70% of the city.

That was not a professionally worded response.

ETA: I think they've lost my support with that response. I support their goal and by no means believe in the BR government to assuage any woes the people of south BR feel but I don't think I feel that the people in charge of the St. George movement will be able to really be successful in what they're trying to do with that kind of attitude.

Can you blame them for making every effort to stop the STG movement? Did you expect the opposing voice to simply lay down? Of course they are gonna try to stop you but if the will of the people deems the STG effort to be worthy, it will happen regardless of the opposition

They got that Press Release about 80% right. They are calling out the right people with the right facts but they are still slinging mud as in those last two sentences. The St. George target audience isn’t the core Baton Rouge City audience. Point out the hypocrisy and then list your facts. Let the reader draw the conclusion.

As stated earlier, they are trying to parrot the Presidents style a bit. He can do it and get away with it. He is unique. Anyone trying it just looks like a cheap imitation.

FWIW, I was one who very early predicted Trumps style would never fly with the general voter. Boy did I get that wrong. Still shaking my head every time he speaks or tweets. Love his policies but he drives me mad.

If nothing else, the grammar in that response shows just how poorly EBR School systems are performing.

Unfortunate. Whoever the SG spokesperson is might as well have posted that on Tigerdroppings. No factual statistics to counterprove. Nothing but mudslinging.

SG needs to find better or we will not see this happen.

a tweet from Chauna Banks this morning indicated her preference.
“Choosing a progressive Democrat to fill the vacant District 8 council seat would be a tremendous blow to the St. George effort!”

the councilwoman said on her Twitter account. In truth, whoever fills the vacancy will have little say in the St. George incorporation effort, especially with the petition process well underway.

Wow, this hag is dumber than anyone could ever imagine. They actually think they finna get over on St.George if they get a democrat in there. LOLOL

Do any of these morons have degrees, and if so, where? Is it a Degree factory for African Americans, like Harris Stowe is in St.Louis(it's where dumb people go to get teaching degrees)

How is it that French Settlement has this incorporation thing figured out, but one of the largest collections of people with college degrees in the state (not that there are many groups) is having problems with this?
