Payton: "I was hoping to attend" anti 2nd-Amendment rally

""Two hundred years from now, they’re going to look back and say, ‘What was that madness about?’ “ Payton said. “The idea that we need them to fend off intruders … people are more apt to draw them (in other situations). That’s some silly stuff we’re hanging onto.”"

I liked Payton a lot more when he didn't talk politics.

I agree, it's shitty and annoying of CSP to think he's an expert on gun policy simply because he once knew somebody who acted like a fool and got shot.

He's the head coach of the team this very board is about Are you serious right now?

If you don't like someone posting news of Paeyton's mouthing off on his political opinions, do you also dislike Paeyton expressing them? Can't have it both ways, bra

I love my guns and my 2nd amendment rights much more than the Saints.

Sean has voiced his displeasure for guns for years now.

He can have his opinion on them and express it with his 1 vote.

I will keep voting to oppose him on this matter.

Good news is every Sunday we are both on the same team. I wish America could take a similar stance on politics.

Why should other people's irresponsible actions infringe on my right to defend myself? All this talk of doing away with the second amendment, but no one wants to talk about real, every day gun violence which is perpetrated by young black men. Not middle class conservative men. But that would be a long, uncomfortable conversation that might lead to some truths the left might find problematic.

actually he is pretty proficient from the Shotgun with Drew

the real kicker is if he keeps hyping up Lamar Jackson and actually pulls the trigger on draft day...he might want to incorporate some Pistol into his playbook.

As long as he sticks to coaching football and not legislating, he can want whatever.

Sean Payton, brilliant at coaching, idiotic at politics. This is already known and not surprising. I’ll take his genius coaching skills and ignore his dumb opinions about social issues.
