Does ghost make it to north LA? What about rêve? I know nova made it state wide and I got Abbey reserve in Shreveport. Of course the 3 staples are there too.
We get commotion, southern drawl, reasonably corrupt, and creature of habit regularly in Dallas and I have access to grace and grit as well. If the staples are available down there as well it seems on par with parish. Great raft doesn't put their special stuff in stores I believe, just like parish.

Some of yall really need to broaden your horizons when it comes to the craft beer scene around the country. Countless breweries put out beers that no one has ever tried and people line up around the block based off reputation alone and pay $20 plus for a 4 pack.

Yes for Ghost and no for Reve from my understanding. But much more Ghost has shipped than Reve in general so that’s not surprising

Yes they follow a similar model. Though we can’t get anything but old stuff from Great Raft in BR. But the style of beer being made by almost everyone here was a direct response to Ghost batch 4 in 2015. If you look at the IPAs before, including the ones from GR, they’re all dark and fairly clear, even Ghost.
And that’s what I mean when I say Parish set the standard for craft beer in LA. When everyone copies your product, it’s a pretty clear sign of who the market leader is

I don't know if you remember, but we actually used to be able to get Great Raft beers here, and fresh commotion. Just look at the TD link I sent. It was pretty much unanimous, that before the new Envie, Commotion was the best regularly available pale ale in Louisiana.

I'm not talking the actual recipe. I'm talking about the reformulation of the recipe which is 100% true. I was incorrect when I said I thought that the new recipe for commotion came out before ghost. But I was 100% correct when I stated that the recipe reformulation for Commotion came first (and it did, press release was May 2015) while Envie reformulation followed suit in November 2015.

No shite. That's why I said, when those beers came out, those were the best Louisiana had to offer in terms of hoppy beers. If I was talking about current day, I would have said current day. I think those 2 beers are shite today. Too malty and bitter with little hop flavor. But, BEFORE (before meaning not today) all of the stuff we had today, several years ago, that's what was considered good for Louisiana standards.
I don't think some of you understand concepts like speaking relative to the time frame. Reread the threads before you start saying the posts are "bullshite".

There's exactly 1 Facebook post and 1 Instagram post from the brewery announcing the release of these beers. That's it. How is that marketing hype?

I'm a huge saison fan and fruit juice IPAs don't interest me at all, nor is there ever any chatter about them on the farmhouse specific FB groups. The people that line up for fruit juice IPAs are the posers of the beer community. It used to be that beer nerds worked their way from Sam Adams to SN Pale ale to English browns to IPAs to BA stouts to farmhouse/sours and back to pilsers. Now people just jump on the haze craze train and think they're Master Cicerones.
Good on Parish for making a buck or two off of them.

The best overall brewery in the state is approximately 200 miles north of Broussard, and anyone who tries to argue against that is a fool.
