How will the board react?

Say he got lucky?

Pretend they supported him the whole time?

Kill themselves for bringing so much shame upon their family?

I'll man up; I have no problem with that.

You want to ban bet me?

That FBI investigation into Miami, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and UGA football was a beast.

Or they could just say, "I was wrong. My bad."

man, this isn't done any more.

no, the uber negatives crybabies on here will just lay and wait until he loses a game and then bring up his ole miss record.

but, somehow I don't think your hypothetical will happen.

I will ride to Tiger Stadium on my Unicorn or Pegasus(depends on my mood), while grilling jackalope meat with my fire breathing dragon in the parking lot for the final game.

I might even setup a massive Olympic size swimming pool in the CEBA lot and hire the mermaids from the Gulf to come and swim the little kiddies around on their backs.

Honestly, and I'm saying this as someone who was willing to support him in 2017, there are too many issues with O/Alleva's management, handling of personnel and dealing with the media and image of the program to instill any confidence they can produce sustained success.

At best he would have earned the right to finish his contract.

The odds of him going to playoffs are about like the odds of me fricking Tom Brady's wife while he watches.

A couple of options here:

They will probably jump ship and say "I was always for this coaching staff!!" and hope to God nobody checks their post history.

"We won with talent inspite of our inept coaching staff."

"I never said it was a BAD hire, I just said the coaching search wasn't wide enough."

Either way, every single person claiming to give up their season tickets and being the big tough "DOWN WITH O AND IF YOU SUPPORT HIM YOU ARE AN IDIOT AND ILL FIGHT YOU" people will never admit how wrong they were.

I'm a giant O critic, but I am an LSU supporter and want him to kick arse and take names.

well i dont think thats going to happen but i can see them "possibly" going with a 2 loss season and thats enough for your scenario to play out and then they will:

10% will be a man about it and admit they were sky screamers proved wrong but the other 90% .....

Pretend they supported him the whole time?

lie and deny not supporting him until someone posts their quotes to put it in their face

This is a extremely unlikely scenario but I think everyone would give him credit.

I would eat a shite ton of crow.

But it won’t happen.

We won’t even be good next year.

I would love it.

But the chances of that happening are just slightly greater than the chance that I suddenly grow wings and fly to the moon.

Be happy I was wrong

I mean for any coach not named Saban, and even Saban sometimes, luck is going to play a role somewhere. Whether by escaping muiltiple major injuries, getting paired against the wrong team, etc. Luck usually has a small part.

Even if he gets to the playoffs, I would still be cautious for the net season, would not want any kind of extension near his contract, so no. Larry Coker won an NC and look how that turned out.
It would take an NC or 2-3 1 loss seasons for me to be an "O supporter"
