Now that you're here to bash me for that statement let me explain. I hate the falcons I hate the city of Atlanta. But, the story was all about how blank and the team is working with their corporate partners to restore neighborhoods in Atlanta with job training and job opportunities. They even have affordable concessions in the stadium.

So, as much as it pains me to say, way to go Falcons, I wish the saints would do more like this

Kind of them.

But I strongly doubt the cheap concessions will last.

Look, as long as they don't get rid of the Castleberry Inn I'm good with whatever they do.

Saw the story and agree with your post.

As for the Saints, they are the ultimate example of a corporate, pro sports welfare queen. Benson and his family have had their hands out either begging or threatening the state since he bought the team.

As for the Dome, the state could never afford to replace the thing. And there isn't a big enough corporate presence in New Orleans to help finance a new venue. Just hang on and wait for the next hurricane and the resulting federal relief money. Refurbish the thing for the 10th time, look the other way as a quarter of the money intended for the stadium refresh is stolen by corrupt folks involved in the work, proclaim victory, get drunk and move along. Rinse and repeat...

Cheap concessions but no single game tickets for sale from team. Everyone needs a PSL

The concession prices will last. It will stay the same even for the Super Bowl and all other events there.

Is the food better?
Is the historical significance better?
Does Atlanta have anything that compares to the French Quarter?

I'd rather live near Atlanta than New Orleans, but NO is certainly a better tourist destination.

What does this nonsense even mean? Are you saying that Atlanta corporations directly provided blank with financing for the new stadium? Or are you saying that big banks will not cross state borders to provide financing even if they deem the project to be profitable?

Not to mention, the Superdome is newly renovated so why does it need to be replaced to begin with?

It was one thing they said the XFL should do first thing. Make it affordable, get people to come into the stadium to spend money and be able to buy a couple of beers and food w/o having to take out a 2nd mortgage
