And the worst in the SEC west. Only mustering up 26.2 ppg. How do you expect to compete in the West when you're being outscored by every other team? Our point differential in conference is 0. 134 PF vs 134 PA.

Points per possession is a much better stat to use

A 37-7 loss will frick up any differential. Thanks Etling.

Canada's offense isn't the problem.

The fact that we have a below average "game manager" under center is. It is obvious that the the playbook is limited because Etling cant consistently make even basic throws.

Yes, I understand that he's tough as nails and has a ton of heart. Seem like a great kid. He just isnt very good and the coaches have to hide him.

Well with the fact that we'll finish 4-4 at worst and 6-2 at best with the latter being the more likely outcome, I'd say OP is a little bitch

Yeah 6-2 in conference will be better than a lot of people thought, but we did catch some breaks this year. Florida was a gift, and Auburn was a choke by them. Could easily be 4-4 or worse.

Meaningless stat. It is how many more points you score as opposed to how many your defense allows in any one game. In other words you win by one and lose by 10, you are still 1-1.

Great. It could be 14th. Remember that Coach O called one game so the Troy game is not on Canada.

Probably a meaningless stat when looking at a game by game basis, but if you're trying to figure out overall how an offense is doing it's very important.

Feels like we leave 14pts/game on the table with Etling missing wide open receivers.

Still amazes me how dumb some of you are!
Lsu manned up and took that game from them. The defense was lights out the 2nd half, but you idiots view it as Auburn choking?
Unreal!!

Well, 3 teams in the W rank higher in Scoring Offense but at the same time have losses to us. 2 have wins over us.

I would say your metric, ranking as far as scoring offense, as far as "competitiveness" is not a good metric to determine that.

If it was a good metric we would be, frankly, last in the W.

We are in the upper 50% in West standings while at the same time in the lower 50% in the West ppg. While not contrarian, it is a far cry from being indicative.

In fact, this means that our D is faring better, on the average, against SEC opponents that most perceive. Fact of the matter only two SECW teams have a better scoring defense than us. Those are our only two conf losses. So it can be inferred that we are indeed winning conf games on the back of our defense.

That and our wins have been closer in point differential than our losses. Which is the real point, despite all my bullshite above.

Mizzou is averaging almost 38 ppg. Maybe you'd like to go cheer for them instead.

Unreal!!

Considering Gus' history of sitting on leads, it's not an outrageous thought.
